Racial Passives Morphs

This idea of racial passives having a morph is good in general. Maybe not exactly in a way OP has proposed it, but it is quite nice.
What I would like to see is for those morphs to be optional. So for example, lets say an Argonian or Khajiit has a universal sustain passive, so you can chose an additional morph, but it would have a kiss-curse effect. For example more stamina sustain, but at a cost of magicka sustain etc.

All you are doing is trying to make Stamina or Magicka characters interchangeable, meaning choosing a race makes no difference.

Sure, I would like all my characters to look like Bretons, but I don't see any reason to sterilize the passives so they can play any and all classes as effectively as all other races.

    IMHO

You want to tell me that every Breton is great at magic but somehow they decided to create quasifeudal society build on knighthood?

Actually that makes sense to be honest, especially considering the fact most if not all Breton knights know spells. Also you're forgetting the Breton's spell resistance. If all your immediate enemies are resistant to magic are you going to throw magic at them? Not really, you'll use weapons and tactics they're not resistant to and use your innate magical talents to support that. Why Bretons are known for their Spellswords.

But what are their immediate enemies? In Stormhaven, Glenumbra & Rivenspire.

Goblins, Ogres, Werewolfs, Undead... Not mentioning all the stuff coming from desert in Bankgorai.

Also, spellswords were skilled in both areas: magic & combat.

So no, making Bretons magic race only is kinda pointless.

I'm going to say no on the racial passive morphs.

I rather the devs not have touched racial passives in the first place. I liked how High Elfs were basically the best way to play a damage dealer Sorc given their bonus damage to electric attacks and Dark elfs were for Dragon Knights DD for their fire damage bonus, etc.. the game IMO was better than because each race had a specific purpose and IMO better than the current passives. Right now the passives are IMO not as unique and has made it so that any race can basically do any role equally. I rather that not be the case as racial passives should be unique.

I do know that old passives were far from perfect but I preferred them over the current passives. I don't think adding morphs will resolve the issue.
