Curated drops seem backwards

I run my healer and constantly get the heavy armor sets.
It's obnoxious. I'll basically have to run and rerun these DLC dungeons that fake tanks drop from group at the start (meaning the run won't happen) until I've exhausted the heavy armor set in order to get sets I actually want... if I actually get groups that will be willing to run the dungeon because a lot of people queue and drop if it's not something fast like Fungal Grotto.

    Curated drops don't have anything to do with heavy/medium/light sets at all. They look at your stickerbook and drop an item from their pool that you don't have collected. There are a few bugs currently, but that's how it's supposed to work.

    Nobody ever stated it would help you get a particular weight of gear you're looking for, just what you don't have collected yet.

    If you're running a dungeon in a group, ZOS probably expects that the members of the group will trade dropped gear amongst themselves afterward, which is why the gear doesn't automatically bind to the account of the player who looted it. Hopefully someone else in your group got light gear they don't want and will trade with you.
    I've fought mudcrabs more fearsome than me!

    Look at it this way, you will get the item in the end just wait it out. It also means obviously that you have not yet done this particular dungeon enough times in the past to see the same frustrations as those have who made this change come about. That or you have done this dungeon a lot but for some reason did not choose to bind the items to your stickerbook, in which case if so, that's just bad luck I guess.

    But like I said, you will get there, just work through the motions. At least you wont get to the point where others have, where they got EVERY single piece from all the sets except for just 1 last item. Have then run that dungeon another 200+ times and still never got it. YOU will never see this pain. I will never see that pain either myself, so I am thankful for that. And I would say that alternative would be far, far, far worse.

    So just be happy. :)

    Problem is that for a very long time, since the very beginning I'd risk saying, the RNG was rigged accidentally or on purpose to keep people playing so, at least in Dungeons/Trials:

    - Magicka DPS would have a moderate chance of getting Stamina-related gear and better chances of getting Healer/Tank gear;
    - Stamina DPS would have a moderate chance of getting Healers-related gear and better chances of getting Magicka DPS/Tank gear

    Tanks and healers would follow the same principle, I'm just not very much confident in the proportions.

    The curated drops system does solve a problem but not the RNG problem. If you have played a lot your stickerbook is at least half-filled and you'll make the most out of the new feature, otherwise, well, welcome to the club.

    Those who noticed this farmed different contents with different roles or flavours. Those who didn't...

    I mean, would you rather go back to a system that had a much lower chance to drop what you needed?
