Great topic: I like the idea of keeping a magplar conversation going!

I’m planning Trickery back bar, Malacath, Engine Guardian (resource and damage mitigation) or magma incarnate.

    Front bar….not sure really!!
I’m thinking warmaiden front but I’m a bit dry on ideas!!!

Exactly, I think trickory offers alot as a back bar set, used with malacath , monster of choice, and yes front is hard choice to be fair

On my magplar I'm really liking stuhns/wild hunt/trickery. I'll throw on Olorime back bar if I'm doing some small scale with friends. Been going back and forth between Magma and Bloodspawn.

I want to try something other than Stuhns but don't know what yet.

With procs able to crit in deadlands I can see dmg being higher so not sure if trickery will still be viable as burst dmg will be higher

I've rolled with my Old Stuhn + Trickery and did not feel too squishy: not more than before for sure

Last night I put a build together that worked very well in Bgs, yet to try in cyrodill for obvious reasons.

    5 heartland conqueror - 2H/resto, body pieces
5 buffer of swift - neck, ring, body pieces,
    1 domi
    Malacath
    2 inpen, 5 well fitted

Here's what I plan to use with update 32. .

    Kagrenac's Hope - Front Bar
    Kynmarcher's Cruelty - Back bar
    Balorg
    Death Dealer's Fete

Here is what I am using now.
    Spinner's Garment
    Kagrenac's Hope
    Balorg

Haven't updated by build for the latest patch, but I hopped in IC and BGs this past week and it's been slapping just as hard as always. Might as well share. Good all around build. Added some immoveable pots for the state of BGs right now and it's working great.

Heartland Conqueror - 2h (sharpened), Ice Staff (Powered)
    Pariah (3 heavy, 3 light, 1 med)
    Balorgh
Stage 3 vamp for undeath, mist form to gtfo when you need and 3 pieces swift jewelry

Fast [snip], hit like a truck and cheesy level of tankiness. Fun stuff.

Armor of truth may be an option now if you use Toppling. .

I play in no proc though so it’s not really siomething I’ve messed with.

If you don't have Olorime, Deadly front, SPC 5p, and Mael resto back is a good option. In some cases, SPC 5p can be more preferable if you consider that you can give everyone around you major courage.

Go stage 3 vamp for undeath, use major protection and pariah/buffer of swift, you will be much tankier. Even use mistform if you like.

Is now deadly more effective then stuhn for magplar?
Axiom and armor of truth looks good too because SD affects Living dark and honor the dead.

absolutely...I forgot how much damage you have to put up in BGs (assuming no decent healer in the group): it was a total shock going back to BGs. MInd you, I don't miss the very toxic atmosphere!

Aaaaaand, I’m not anymore. It’s ONLY durable on the front bar, and only while you have enough resources to jab spam.

The NANOSECOND I switch to my back bar, I blow up.

Swapped Hexos’ Ward out for Heartland Conqeror and fiddled with my armor weights some. Now I’m both staying alive a bit better and hitting marginally harder.

When we get home from vacation, I hope to farm Magma Incarnate to replace Mother Ciannat. I think it will boost both my damage and mitigation. I’ll let y’all know how it turns out.

I am considering running Wretched Vitality and Stuhns with Skoria. With like 3 heavy 4 light for some added defense. I really like the way Stuhns synergizes with toppling.

I've been using Kynmarcher's Cruelty, Spell Power Cure and Balorgh. After hitting a player with crescent sweep, followed up by a stun from toppling charge most players try to run away like Sir Galahad in Monty Python and the Holy Grail as I chase them down with puncturing sweep.

Kynmarcher's Cruelty is probably my favorite set in the game now. Debuff stays up for 16 seconds and a new debuff can be applied every 8 seconds. Ran with another player running this set we had in a short time 4 debuffs on tank player that typically stays around and get a beat down but he started to run away from us and it was just the two of us. I guess with both of us using posion to reduce that player resources he knew if he stayed around his normal 2 minute stand would be much shorter.

    Clever Alchemist
    Balorgh
    Stun (Infused jewelry)

At peak, 7k spell damage, 30k pene after Crescent hits.

It tears up any tanky balorgh/vamp 3 player every time.

    30k health 30k mag 2k recovery, 34k/30k spell/phys resistance, major protect/minor protection. Vamp 3.

    Tanky, burstable, speedy. Happy.

One thing people forget about Stuhn's is that it resets everytime you put target in offbalance.

I loved axiom back in the day when eclipse used to have that spell that cause a burst after a few seconds.

I'll have to play around with magplar with all these changes.

I’m going through too many ideas at the moment.

I’m not too impressed by Pariah + Heartland Conq. Not bad though.

I’m tempted by Trickery + Kynmarcher….bit random but it could be fun.

Anyone using Deadly as front bar? War maiden?

I’ve never managed to like Clever Alchemist so I’m not considering it…can’t be bothered to farm Olorime

I’m curious about any other option or combination you are using

I'm using the same, but with markyn ring of majesty instead of malacath. 2000 armor isnt so bad. For proc and BGs, I swap out spinners for stuhns
