I'll usually just open my boxes at the same time of the day until I get a motif, and then wait until the same time the next day to open more. That way I know I've let it reset however their timer is.

As far as i know at U24 (Dragonhold) the motif drop cooldown from rewards containers was applied.
We never got that confirmed or denied by Zeni, but my personal experience tells that is true.
So, Dragonhold, Greymoor, Markarth, Blackwood, and The Deadlands motifs must be on 20h timer.
Once when i was discussing the said cooldown issues on Reddit i got massively downvoted and i have got an some "internet presence" ideas. No, i don't mean any conspiracy theories, as live is simple. More simple than a shawarma roll. So i ate that.
if you get "disproved" it might be fake. Trust only your own experience.
Make more account.

That isn't correct and they have confirmed these timers exist, they just won't say which timer is on which box.
Your chance of getting a motif is never 0, nor is it ever 100% but it is weighted depending on the timer in place. So if you open them less than 20 hours (or dailyb reset depending on coffer) from when you got the last, the odds appear to be in the 1-3% range and if you open them outside that timer the odds seem to be in the 95% range.
I would love to see you link something indicating that this was disproved because I have posted on this topic ad nauseum and seen them confirmed again and again.

I enjoy the racial style/theme motifs anyways. Id like to see more versions of racial styles for all the races.

Read the Ivory Brigade thread for starters. Best of luck!
Edit: hence my comment “no hard timers or absolute cool-downs”

Jeez. I've got two pages while getting a coffer few hours after release and second next morning, less than 20h after previous one. Next two days - 0 pages. It's complete RNG. New Moon motif was from a reward chest for maxed Dragonguard hideout, not a coffer. And only one with cool down I can remember while playing for almost 8 years.
