Then I looked for player stats.
Found Steam stats for last 30 days, peaked at about 900k players 30 days ago, slowly reduced down and now steam shows 300k players.
Im thinking here that 600k players tried it but did not find it right for them.
That's 2 thirds of the (so far) max player base reduced. Maybe this is normal for a new game idk.
But for me and ESO it means we still have paths to walk and I have plenty still to learn in the game.

DarrowLykos✭✭✭In case no one has noticed. Ever since this last big game update a lot of things have been going wonky in game. This internal error being yet another one. I think the patch they implemented was not finished and they rushed it on to the platform and now it's doing what broken code does best...break everything else it touches
Aside from them rolling back everything they have done in this patch I think this one is going to take some considerable amount of time to fix, if it can be fixed without doing a rollback ... 0 -

I would not have guessed young sir!Difficulty scaling is desperately needed. 9 years. 6 paid expansions. 25 DLCs. 41 game changing updates including A Realm Reborn-tier overhaul of the game including a permanent CP160 gear cap and ridiculous power creep thereafter. I'm sick and tired of hearing about Cadwell Silver&Gold as a "you think you do but you don't"-tier deflection to any criticism regarding the lack of overland difficulty in the game.0 -

Another way of looking at it.....
I am in 3 big guilds on PC-EU, each of those guilds has 500 members of which approximately 300 are very active(per guild)
Every week we fight to get a trading spot and if we lose our bids it is virtually impossible to find an empty trader, so many, many trade guilds exist....
Then you also have the social guilds, I think it's pretty safe to say more people play without Steam than use it.... LOTS more!
Remember too ESO was not on Steam at launch. When people say to me........
"You're going to regret that in the morning"

catskin✭Not surprised, decided to level up a sorc yesterday 15 levels in the Alik’r Dolmen Grind with 50% scrolls and the 2x xp from the event. It was crowded. I CTD'd 6 times in an afternoon of dolmen's. Game is very flakey lately.
