Bonus Challenge to Bounties of Blackwood

So we reached 100% and got the rewards. Now there is a NEW bonus challenge added to it. You can see the details below. What my question is - do you think this was planned from the start OR added to counter the DLC reward backlash? Guess I should make this a poll lol.

Perhaps, but then again even if so, this could be the "backup fail" that we CAN fail at just because we couldn't the first time around........get what I am saying? Response again BECAUSE of all our feedback lol (conspiracy included)...

Explorer's Celebration is basically a double drop mini-event, seems for every 25% of this bar we get 2 more days IDK.

- Double drops from harvest nodes (not fishing!)
- Double XP gains from every source
- This stacks with other XP boosts such as scrolls or group multipliers
- Double gold earned from monster kills, quest rewards, and similar sources

Ofcourse it was planned... they have added it to the site's mechanics. And that doesn't happen overnight!
Even if making it to 100% was planned from the start, it is fun to see everyone working together to achieve it all. Both in-game and on the forums. But there is also still the possibility they simply added this extra event based on how fast we reached 100% in previous community-events, and would only activate the bonusevent after we had actually reached 100%.

Simply because this bonusevent was added to the website, does not mean the event was rigged.

Thanks to everyone who did the Blackwood pathfinder achievements! Now goodluck for the world bosses, and the bonus eventdays!

Edit: There wasn't much backlash, so I highly doubt ZOS added this bonusevent because of that.

PS: The bonusevent is to kill Blackwood world bosses till october 12th for extra explorer event days. Explorer's event is double node/gold drops and double experience from all sources.

Cause it has nothing to do with eso plus players, just an extension on already known event by other means. Nothing big, nothing too good or bad in it.

Oh that is cool. The explorers event has double XP I believe. Time to do all of the master writs I have been sitting on since the last double XP event.

TBH I never did buy in to the conspiracy thing myself, but there's always the "well...you never know" thing there in the back of your mind.

While I did vote the first option I am still not 100% sure on that, maybe a 50/50. Guess I could/should have made that hidden (sorry guys my first poll) and I could have had another option - Not sure/does not matter.

Either way I am happy for the bonus challenge and yes people, lets make it happen. Would be funny tho if it IS rigged so no matter what we did we can't get the full 8 days. I would just LOVE that irony.

I think not planned, because 'Explorer's Celebration' has been used in the past as a kind of 'whoops' or 'hey look over there' type event in the past.

It seems to be an on/off switch they can flip for being a generic event.

Well because it is something more than "just useless DLC that I already will have access to". Also it would reward those who DO have a lot of alts the most who helped contribute towards the Pathfinder Achievement by using all those alts. Remember these players will gain a LOT more gold off all their crafters during the bonus event.

Not sure I understand the bonus event.

Hunt down and defeat Blackwood's world bosses from now until October 12 and for every 25% of meter progress, we'll run the Explorer's Celebration for two days. This bonus mini-event will go live for every zone in Tamriel, so get out there and slay some monsters!

So we have to hunt down Blackwood world bosses in every zone in Tamriel????

Agreed, it's just the same thing we get every event, basically.
It's actually less impressive than the DLC.

Yet this bonus event has the same issue as the first part - they don't mention how many world bosses. What this tells me is that it is probably just a planned percentage growth each day since we have absolutely no numbers to base anything on.

The mini-event (Explorer’s Celebration) applies everywhere. The way to earn the event is by killing Blackwood bosses.
