Wrath of Imperium and Eagle Eye vs changes to critical chance

Due to the change in how critical chance works now (no division into spell and weapon) the Eagle Eye set drops only bow as a weapon leaving magicka players without any alternative while Wrath of the Empire drops jewelry and all possible weapons. This should be updated.

"Difficulty scaling is desperately needed. 9 years. 6 paid expansions. 24 DLCs. 40 game changing updates including A Realm Reborn-tier overhaul of the game including a permanent CP160 gear cap and ridiculous power creep thereafter. I'm sick and tired of hearing about Cadwell Silver&Gold as a "you think you do but you don't"-tier deflection to any criticism regarding the lack of overland difficulty in the game." - @AlexanderDeLarge

It wouldn't surprise me if they didn't even know that.

Once upon a time, Eagle Eye's 5-piece bonus was, "Increases the range of your Bow abilities by 3 meters." Since you could not use bow abilities without a bow equipped, other weapons were dropped from loot table. When set was changed to a generic bonus not reliant on any particular weapon type, all weapons should have been added to loot table.

At this point, ZOS just need to change one of these sets. They are identical set bonuses now and having two sets that give the exact same set bonuses is unnecessary.

They did change the sets. Eagle Eye provides Critical Chance. Imperium provides Weapon and Spell Damage. Both apply to ranged direct damage attacks.

I think they mean more that one of the sets need to be different. Really, Eagle Eye needs to go back to impacting bow damage. Maybe they could have it augment ranged physical damage rather than all ranged damage.

I doubt they will ever add in set pieces for Eagle Eye. But it is still a viable set to use for all ranged damage withe just running it on jewelry only.

Yeah, both sets are both impacting power of ranged direct damage, which I have to question. Do we really need two jewelry sets focused entirely on ranged direct damage?

If they're going to be broad, they could be broader. Ranged vs. Melee Direct Damage, for instance. If they're going to be specific, they could be much more specific.

Yeah but ranged stamina can choose between these two sets while ranged magica is left with just Wrath of the Imperium which is weaker. But sadly since Eagle Eye wasn't updated when they have changed it last time, I don't have much hopes they will change it this time.

It still works on ranged magicka. Just run jewelry only and use a different set for the weapon slot.

The problem you are facing is that so far medium armor meant you are stamina and as such you only have the bow as an option. With that background it made sense to only have a bow available. However you are right that ZOS should go over all sets and add weapons if that fit the sets bonuses to open them up. Iam sure this is not the only one where some weapons are missing by now.

It’s still a matter of one is a Stan set the other is a mag ..while similar they are still different..rsc on jewelry is max stam other is max mag..those aren’t hybridized.so unless you’re going out of your way to transmute or reconstruct you are going to pick the one proper for your build.

You're mixing up Willpower and Agility..

These give a 2 piece of damage or crit and a 3 piece of ranged direct damage or ranged direct crit.

Edit: I think you meant the trait for Robust, etc? You're probably going to transmute that anyway as resource is usually the weakest compared to Infused, Bloodthirsty or Swift as the most popular options. Medusa coming in Healthy hasn't stopped mag builds from using it and it's not gonna matter for these either.
