Hello everyone. I play ESO on console PS4 and should say that new patch in my opinion is terrible mistake in part of guaranteed overland set drop. Selling and buying overland items is major economic part, which also helps in creating additional value for crafter materials. Anyone can check how many of this kind of items now present in market, that is a lot. I can understand why guaranteed drop is better for dungeon items, but in case of overland drop it have alternative source, where player could get items he need - market. It means someone else put in this his time which have certain price. Since we have bots farming raws, dropping price on it to zero, and now we will have no gain in overland farm, where player should get money? Stealing? Imo destroying real game economic, when there is no need in this, is very bad decision. Thanks for attention.

First problem: That you want to farm desired overland items to sell but are only getting the ones you don't have yet. Solution: Just buy all the items you don't have in non-desired traits for pennies and go back to farming exactly as before, since once you have the whole set, drops go back to random.

Second problem: People won't buy from traders since they can farm for the items they don't have easier. Not a problem. There is no reason to assume the items people don't have, which they are more likely to get, will be the ones they actually want. Also, there will always be a market for items in the right TRAIT that people are looking for. The new system does not in any way guarantee desired traits, and only makes it easier to get the items you don't have yet.

For BOE overland drops, if you are worried about people converting unwanted traits and not buying desired ones, that ship has sailed and not affected the markets much. This change won't either. Anyone can buy all the items in a BOE set in Well Fitted or some other off-trait so they minimize the transmute crystal cost to recreate them. But, it still costs crystals and you still have to level up crafting in order to do so.

There will always be a market for convenience of not having to bother with all that, and this system will not change that basically at all.
