The change to Mist Form is a very lazy way to deal with the problem and Vampires need some love

Hey ZOS. I've been playing ESO for 3 years now and for the first time I feel I needed to make a forum account. In the past you've nerfed a lot of stuff and I honestly don't mind about it. Games change, we adapt, life goes on, right? But this change to Mist Form is absolutely lazy. Sorry if that sounds rude, but I think that's the only way to describe it.

I can see why you felt the need to nerf the skill. I can understand that. But that's not the right way to deal with a problem. You basically removed a skill from pve. That's it. "No idea how to fix this, let's just remove it" That's what it looks like. And it doesn't just hurt a single skill, it hurts the whole skill tree, because Vampires already had very poor choices. Mist Form was a great skill, not talking about how it helped in Rockgrove and all that, but thematically too. It was fun to use, it was rewarding and was the only skill that made my vampire feel like a vampire.

This change hurts tanking, hurts roleplaying, hurts the skill tree (honestly, gameplaywise, only a dps wanting to parse high or a character wanting to move fast while sneaking will ever want to be a vampire). If Vampire was just an aesthetic thing, it wouldn't matter, but it's not. It's not like Werewolves that you can have the curse and it will only affect your gameplay while transformed. By being a Vampire you have a lot of cons: higher flame damage taken, less HP regen and the worst of it all, higher skill cost. Being a vampire hurts our characters, the cons outweight the pros so much.

Many tanks chose to become a Vampire because the damage in Rockgrove was absurd. Mist Form was never a problem in pve before that trial, was it? How many tanks would recommend being a vampire between Greymoor and Blackwood? It was always "high skill cost will screw you, it's not worth it". Even after Blackwood, some players would have a vampire tank just for Rockgrove and not use them in other trials. A nerf to Bashei should have been enough to see a decrease in Mist Form users. If you don't want people tanking with mist form because "it's too easy", that's ok, it's understandable, but how about changing the skill then? How about making Vampire into something that would not make me feel like I'm gimping myself?

I mean, I get, with the armory system I could save a setup with vampirism for overland content and then remove it when doing trials, but that's not good, is it? So, again, why not changing the skill? Why not make one of the most unique looking skill in the game something different instead of removing it from pve?

Here's my suggestion:
Keep Elusive Mist the way you guys want, as a pvp disengage tool, but change Blood Mist (this skill definitely isn't a disengage anyway) into something else.
Remove the channeling part, make it a normal buff that last a few seconds, or even a toggle, but that still allows us to do other stuff. But make it a buff with a unique visual (like Sorc's Lightning form), keep the mist thing going!
Remove the "can't be healed by teammates part".
Remove the 75% mitigation.
Then make it give us something new, could be some defensive buffs, like Major Resolve, Evasion, etc. Could be a mix of buffs to make it unique.
Or maybe focus on the other current effects: make the damage scale with weapon/spell damage, and change the healing so instead of healing based on damage, make it based on max HP%. It's easier to balance numbers than functionality. This would make the skill useful for both dps and tanks.
Maybe even work on that Crowd Control Immunity, as long as that part doesn't work on pvp it should be fine, right? Maybe CC Immunity at the begining of the skill like Forward Momentum.

There's a lot of stuff that can be made to keep this unique skill useful in endgame content and solo play. But please, don't make me regret being a vampire.

Change Mist Form, but make it unique! Unique in usefulness, not in "this is the only skill in the game that's not from pvp skilltree that is useless outside pvp". Damn, even Siege Shield will see more uses in pve than Mist form, now that I think about it.

Anyway, that's my feedback, I know there are many topics about it already, but maybe we need a lot more people talking about this to show that we want something different. Thanks for reading my wall of text and have a nice day!
