What is the point of Hrothgar as a "Tank Punishment Set" based on Spell and Physical Resists, if in the very next patch you start releasing Flat Mitigation sets like Iron Flask (12% mitigation)?
Surely this is just circumventing the so called point of Hrothgar.
I refuse to use Hrothgar (it's not my play style) and I don't play a Tank in PVP, but I do know that full Tanks do nothing by themselves and the only real problem they cause is in Chaos Ball, The rest of the time they can be pulled away eventually with CC abilities, Not sure why we are "Punishing" builds that can't kill you, especiallynow reflector tanks are a joke.
The real problem is the "Tank Meta" a totally different animal where everyone (Successful) in PVP all have 30k + health and 30k Resists and sustain for days via CP etc And have 6.5K Weapon Damage AND have proc sets doing the leg work of replacing 'Skillful attrition of your enemy'.
And unless you happen to have the RNG and dragon horde of Gold to buy and improve this metas sets then you are out of luck, this is why PVP is so hostile for new players, What happened to tiring your enemy with DoTs and sustained pressure then exploiting an opening.
The REAL Tank Meta is a Stam Sorc/Necro/Warden sprinting away from you in Imperial City for 3 minutes at speed cap playing Ring Around the Rosie round some wooden crates until his Dawnbreaker + Crystal Weapon (Blastbone/Bugs) +Vateshran proc is off Cool down while your attacks play Half an animation because Line of sight and server side positions.
If you want to "Punish" the Tank Meta then Cap aspects via battle spirit or have a inverse Weapon damage to Resists/mitigation modifier, people would have to choose damage Or Tank then instead of having it all, I only see bad things with Iron Flask and Pariah/Brass/Swift and Balorg, Vateshran etc.
We just had a fresh start and instantly back to unique Mitigation out the wahzoo on skills and CP, buffs and gear.
