Curated Item Set Drops: for which bosses?

Most bosses in the game, along with reward chests from arenas and incursions, will now preferentially drop set items that have not yet been unlocked in your Item Set Collections.

Well that was fairly inevitable, but still: hurray! May I'll get that Medusa inferno staff now.

But wait deos that mean...
dellve bosses have curated drops?
Do all public dungeon bosses have it, or just the group event boss?
Do world bosses have it?
Do all dungeon bosses have it or just the final one?
Do all trial bosses have it or just the final one?

we will know soon enough by just testing ourselves :-)

PTS is still offline, so we can not test it yet, but judging from PTS notes and what devs have said on ESO live stream it is all bosses loot (group dungeon, public dungeon, delve, trial, arena), arena chests that appear after killing a boss, and world events (dolmens etc).

Random treasure chests, chests from treasure maps, thives troves or reward boxes containers will pretty much be only loot drop that is still RNG based.

The goal was to make content that players engage in for specific rewards more rewarding the more it is completed. So, Delve bosses, Public Dungeon champions, Group Bosses in overland would all have curation. Same with Dungeons and Trials, it will be included for all bosses.

One thing to note is, we are not adding drops to monsters that do not currently drop a specific piece of gear. So, if the monster only dropped legs and shoulders, it will continue to only drop those and just use curation to determine which pieces you would get from that list.

It worked for me just now. Needed one item for my FG sticker book. Got it on the last boss. Was a DK Inferno Staff.

I have never had a burning spellweave inferno drop. Never. Lol.

I run it every once and a while to keep the RNG gods appeased. As long as it doesn't drop the other things I want will, lol. I got Medusa inferno and lightning in a single run.

Guess I will finally get one.

Just wanted to shout out to the team how amazing this is, especially for us folk working long hours! I'm huge into completionism, and this change makes that so much more accessible to a broader selection of players. Huge kudos to the team both in design and implementation!

Does this mean that in, say Cloudrest a vcr+1 Z'maja will never drop jewellery even if that's all you need to complete your sets?

Loot tables are not changing, what a boss can drop they will continue to drop. Your stickerbook determines what from that loot table will drop and what can't drop. After you've gotten everything collected, it wil begin to collect random items from the specific loot table again like the old system.

Every boss with a specific loot table will have curated drops, BUT ONLY FOR ITS OWN LOOT TABLE.

So you're not going to get a Medusa Inferno Staff from the first boss in Arx, because that boss never dropped that item. But if there's anything in that boss' loot table that you don't have yet, that's what's going to drop.

Are not Coffer drops are affected by this new change, so if the Coffer would have Jewelry then that would be were you get it.

Silly question: so I'm assuming its not working for Merchant reward coffers and equipment boxes in Imperial City? For example if I buy a PA Equipment Box from the Armorer Tel Var Vendor, it still will be completely random, right?

I assume that means what it says, and since they didn't include PA Equipment boxes from the Tel Var Vendor, those will still be completely random

Just to be clear - this applies only to loot from PvE bosses? So the loot from any PvP source won't be curated (PvP rewards, AP and TelVar gear vendors)?

correct. this only applies to bosses, not chests (overland or maps) coffers or rewards.
this SHOULD apply to cyrodil delves and dolmens etc however.

Don't know about RFTW etc. but coffers bought with AP or Tel Vars are not curated, I have tested this yesterday on PTS.

@ZOS_Finn do i get it right that if i farm Deshaan Forgotten Crypts public dungeon group event boss and bind everything they drop except Mothers Sorrow Inferno staff, then eventually, each every drop of this boss would be MS Inferno staff?

If yes then this shall cause the severe inflation, as BoE gear (like MS staves, Briarherart daggers, many more highly sought overland gear) is a very serious part of game market and after prices drop significantly because of increased supply, sales transaction taxes (which are a gold sink) shall decrease, thus causing a serious gold inflation.

Could you, please, comment on that?

Forgotten Crypts doesnt even drop Mother's Sorrow...
Loot:
Few provisioning containers
Occasional backpack

Mother's Sorrow is an overland drop in Deshaan...not it the public dungeon.

All overland sets drop in the public dungeons in those zones. Public dungeons drop certain pieces.
