So. Even with the nerf, with the hybridization of sets... Won't this be BiS for magplars next patch? Lightning staff + jewelry / main piece if using a mythic ring like Fete or the new one that increases light attack damage, second set (war maiden's, possibly medusa depending on crit damage), then a monster helm set or 1 piece slimecraw if you're slotting a mythic.

Calling it, pick up your Deadly Strike staves before they skyrocket in price.

Doubt it will be best in slot, Stamplars are already taking it off on live for Advancing Yokeda because it doesn't buff PoTL and that skill does a ton of damage now. They had roughly 14s rotations with Endless/Barbed/Ritual leaving 11s for Jab spam which is why it was so strong before PoTL.
Magplars have tighter rotations because of Shards/Wall on 10s timers leaving only 7-8s depending on Barbed Trap for jab Spamming.

You also need to consider that sets are hybrid now, so Relequen may become popular for Magicka setups as it has 2 crit lines, although you would maybe need to do 5 med/2 light and sustain would be tight.

Kinra's Wrath and Advancing Yokeda both have crit/damage lines meaning they will be excellent front bar magicka sets next patch too.

Tzogvin is in the same boat with crit/pen/minor force which will effectively replace Medusa as the set offers more crit chance and the buff carries to back bar.

Those sets also buffs Burning Light procs, while Deadly does not, with AY coming out ahead for Stamplars, the nerf to 15% and less uptime on Jabs for magplars puts Deadly even less likely to be used by them unless you actually prefer Jabs spam.

Good points, though I think it'll come down to Kinra's, Tzogvin, and Deadly Strikes when it comes to non-trial sets. Obviously if you run enough trials to have the sets, then Relequen or Yokeda would be great options, but it might also need to be tested: with the nerf to crit damage, you might want to sit around 50-60% crit rate rather than higher, opening up the possibilities. Who knows
