PTS Update 32 - Bug Reports for Curated Item Set Drops

Please report any issues you run into with the curated Item Set drops and if you noticed a difference in set drops. In general, we prefer you to use /bug in-game but if you’d rather submit a report here, please give us as much information as possible, including screenshots and/or video if applicable. Thank you!

Not a report just a question as it's something I'm unable to easily test.

Does the curated drop only work for standard items or does it included 'named' special drops.

e.g. Omen's Edge vs Rattlecage Sword in Vaults of Madness, would it drop Omen's Edge on Iskra The Omen or wait until last boss to drop the non-named item?

or do 'named' items not count as something separate so you would have to farm everything in the dungeon to then have a chance at getting the special named drops from each dungeon?

That's a good question.

My understanding from the live stream is that there are not changes to the actual loot tables of the bosses, so the last boss still drops weapons/jewelry, and prior bosses drop body pieces and named items.

So my expectation is, if you get to Iskra and you don't have the piece for Omen's Edge in your sticker book but you have everything else he drops, you would get that. Now, if you don't add that to your sticker book before the last boss, you could get the same thing again there.

If you have everything that a particular boss drops, including the named items, then it's a random drop like now.

Does that make sense?

it would make sense to work that way but would be nice to confirm.

Not a report but a question. Is the curated drop system be applied to Undaunted Coffers? It would be awesome. We would have to buy just 6 coffers for the aimed shoulder piece and move on to the next one. I would gladly get back to Undaunted Pledges if we get this. @ZOS_GinaBruno

No. Rich said on the stream that undaunted coffers, imperial city/cyro coffers, etc, will still be 100% random.

Aight. It would be cool to complete the sticker book tho. Guess I'll keep ignoring pledges then 😐

The early chests in normal maelstrom were giving set items I already had. I did get a body piece I needed a bit later and an uncollected arena weapon at the end.

Not a bug, but a feature or consequence of the new system. I tested to see if I could farm a bunch of the same item, by leaving it as the last in my sticker book collection. I can. So for people without mother's sorrow inferno in their collection, they are going to be able to farm the world bosses and get as many as they want for the trader. That might work itself out just by tanking the price, but maybe gear should all be bind on pickup if you haven't collected it.

Another comment is that the boss specific drops may be too common when finishing a set. I tested in FG1 and only need 3 items. I got unneeded special kragh drops on my first two runs. If you want there to be one last chance for people to feel the sting of failing at the rng game, then I am reporting a feature.

I just ran white gold tower, I have collected all armor and jewelry, the last boss dropped a weapon I already collected. To be clear, I got the named spell power cure lightning staff, Molag kena's touch. Are the unique set items not affected by the curated drops function?
If that is the case, is there a specific drop rate for those unique pieces?

Since update 32 I decided to start going through each zone an complete everything I missed and even try just to complete everything the zone map has to offer. Part of this is to collect the full overland sets. Currently I'm still stuck in Auridon unable to get the greatsword for any of the overland 2 of the battle axes and1 maul. World bosses and delves only give me the same items over and over and does not provide what's missing. I've been working on Auridon for a month now and was under the assumption this was to become easier after the update. Am I missing something. Now I've collected a bunch of treasure chest too which have not yielded what i want either but I read chests are not part of the curated systems however i've gotten more of what I needed from chests than bosses at this point.

because the curation stuff is live, it would be better to start a thread about this in the bug reports forum than using the U32 bug report thread (both because we are now technically U33 on live and it would get more visibility there)
