Game soundtracks?

I don't like Spotify or other music streaming services. I have an old iRiver mp3 player, so I want to put the game soundracks on it.
Since Google Music is no longer a thing, are the only options iTunes or Amazon to buy the soundtracks from?

You could extract the audio files with a tool:
    https://www.esoui.com/downloads/info1258-EsoExtractData.html
This is the same thing that dataminers use to post upcoming mounts, costumes and other cosmetics, like on the ESO Model Viewer website. Personal use of any extracted files is legal as long as you're not using them to modify the game in any way.

I've tried to extract audio and mostly got ambient sounds and unplayable audio, but luckily I did manage to find the Rithana-di-Renada furnishing song and main theme variations from the Balfiera Portals.

I would have game music on if there was a way to remove the annoying combat music interrupting all the time.

I'm talking about music to play while I'm not in-game, eg at work.

I have not used iTunes in a while, but back when I did, it was possible to export music you purchased as an MP3 or other compatible format. I would think that you could use that to import the music into the player that you have?

A bit OT here but I turned off the in-game music volume off and stream the games Spotify stream because the quality of the games music is outstanding. Kudos to the composers!

That said I usually stream soft ambient background music so I can hear the dialogue and sound effects better in the game. It's also a rather amusing counterpoint to all the combat sounds.

Yes, most of what I have on my iPod that I use to listen to at work is imported from CDs I’ve purchased, which includes game and movie soundtracks that I regularly listen to as well as other music.

My problem is mainly not wanting to give either of those behemoths my money if there's any other option...

ITunes is free, and you don’t need to spend any money, just import the CDs from that you’ve purchased elsewhere.

I don't have an answer for you, but I love that you are still using an old mp3 player. I still use my Zune. I like a device that is solely for playing music, no other junk on it.

You do realize that everything one does on the World Wide Web is monetized? Every search is farmed, our posts on forms as well. Micro-transactions add up to rather a lot and we whoever of us that use the web are the sources of income.

    How would one overcome this?

If you are using Steam, you can purchase the soundtracks through them. I have done this when they go on sale during events. The files are tangible audio files that can be converted to other formats. I have mine in MP3 format and I play them on anything I want.

    Agreed with this.

I would suggest to the OP - just get used to liking Spotify. It plays through consoles if you are a console player and more importantly it pays the artists for their work. You wouldn't want the people who created this music to get a little bit extra for it each and every time you listen to it? Sure that's your choice, but I know my choice. :)

I am an older person myself and had to learn about Spotify and get used to it. Now I am loving it, I have access to music I thought I lost years ago and would never get to hear again, never in my dreams did I imagine I could find it again until I discovered Spotify....

I just reread some of your comments OP - you don't have to pay Spotify, there is a free option and the only down side to that is 1 short ad every 5-10 mins or so.

The point of my comment was that I would much rather give my money to a smaller business, not a global giant, if possible.

The only soundtrack I could find on Steam is the first one, which I already have.

    Put:

    elder soundtrack

in the search bar. That shows them all when I search. I'm in NA though. Maybe not offered in other parts of the world?

    Didn't work :(
But thank you anyway. Guess Amazon it is.
