Elsweyr Dragon Hunt daily is overdue for adjustment

The Elsweyr dragon hunt daily needs to be brought in line with the harrowstorm dailies.

The harrowstorm daily quest requirement was originally 3 storms. Someone at Zos realized that requirement was bonkers when compared against the reward and time needed to complete, and the daily requirement was lowered to 1 storm, which is reasonable.

Yet here we are years later, and the Elsweyr Dragon Hunt daily still requires 3 dragon kills, and the reward is simply not appropriate for the time and effort. Of course, it doesn't help that the SW and SE dragons are a mile from the nearest wayshrine.

Please consider reducing the Dragon Hunt daily quest requirement. Either that or incentivize the quest a bit more.

They changed the requirement to one ]storm and they sped up the activation of them. Personally I think they should have left it at three, or reduced the number but kept the spawns the same.

Dragons spawn pretty quickly already, so I don't think there's any reason to reduce the number required to complete the assignment.

It's simple. The reward is disproportionately low for the time needed and difficulty of the quest as compared to the other zone dailies. The geyser daily in Summerset should be similarly adjusted.

I agree on Dragons, Geysers are fine imo.

Agree on that, geysers are slightly more difficult dolmens, you can probably solo it more than once just to get some exp.

But Dragons... I would say it is challenge comparable with Harrowstorm, therefore they require cooperation BUT not always such support is possible as outside of prime time it is hard to gather a group to deal with Dragon. Or Harrowstorm.

    So reduction seems reasonable.

This could backfire. The fewer we have to do, the fewer people will be at each dragon.

Lazy players who are unwilling to go to any dragon but the North one are a bigger problem than ZOS's design. Yeah, I said it. The design's not great, but players' reaction to that is on the players. If you only need one dragon for the daily, the North dragon would be the only dragon that ever got killed. Not sure ZOS should pander to this.

If you keep the cycle, some people will need to kill East & West dragons anyway.

Also, reduction of dragons would encourage more people to do this daily.

Even more, people can gather in chat, form a group and kill a dragon. With three it is slightly more complicated as there is a good chance that after first kill some members of the group will say: i am done for today, bye and you will need to look for people again. And again...

There is another solution, add 2 wayshrines in N Elsweyr, as close to those 2 spawns as to the north one. Which is something that should've been done years ago.

I agree with the OP. Currently, I only do the dragon dailies during events.

I'm with the 'add wayshrines' gang. Northern Elsweyr = Little Cyrodiil, so to say. You need to ride for hours for five minutes of fun.

With max mount speed and knowledge of the terrain you can easily get back and forth between the east and west dragons in about 2 minutes by cutting through the canyon. You can even go from North to East or North to west pretty fast. There is a specific route to take.

That’s said I don’t do this daily because it requires 3. That’s too much time commitment for me. 1 is probably too easy though, can we meet in the middle and make it 2? And also add a wayshrine south of the Stitches near Razum-Dar’s home? I need it for more things like surveys and treasure maps because those maps in the south are a ridiculously long run.

After the PanElsweyr event it became clear that Northern Elsweyr was absolute garbage for doing dailies in. With hundreds of people camping the dragons things died too fast to even run to a new dragon if you were at a different spot. Within seconds the dragons were dead, and then a 10min respawn time for each site. It seems they never adjust things to work well with large events. Southern elsweyr was much easier on the dragons. Wayshrines close by each site and after you killed one and the other was about to spawn, so getting 3 in that zone was significantly easier. I would be fine with 3 kills needed for the quest in Northern if respawn time was decreased so that next time that event shows up it won't be such a pain.

With harrowstorms there's now a map indicator to show which storm is active. The dragon icons show which dragons are spawned and which are under attack.

Keeping the geyser quest at 3 would be acceptable IF they added similar icon mechanics to Summerset to show on the map which geyser is active. The guessing game of porting all around the map to find which geyser will pop is quite annoying.

I thought they did do that already last patch?
