Random 'Notification' Sound

Is anyone else getting a random notification sound every 10 to 15 mins or so? This started happening since yesterday, since the event went Live... and it's getting annoying. There is no notification, no e-mails, no nothing... no reason I should be getting this sound. I've disabled any addon that was updated in the last day, but that did not resolve this problem. Just wondering if I am the only one this is happening to?

Yes! But I thought I might have messed up some addons (and could not be bothered testing).

Nice to see I am not the only one that's suddenly having this problem after the event started. There also seems to be other bugs going on as well, right now I'm having problems leveling antiquarian because the purple lead in Artaeum is not appearing even after reaching level five and putting points into the passive.

@ZOS_GinaBruno Seems another bug has become apparent. I didn't notice it at all on Monday and Tuesday after the update, and I played all day both days. However, I noticed this sound appearing last night- after the event went Live.

Are you sure it is notification?

Because I had the similar situation but it turned out to be a sound of companion's ultimate

You can turn it off in menu, if this is an issue.

No... because I am never in combat when it occurs. I can be riding along and it will sound, I can be standing still and it will sound, I can be scrying and it will sound.

Yes, heading that sound since the update while there is no notification! It's so weird!

Now that the event is live everyone is running MA, and many are also running DSA and the Crag trials. So if you're in a guild, it's likely you're hearing other people's leaderboard notifications even if you have the setting turned off. No fix so far afaik, nor comment from ZoS.

Yeah, I DO have it turned off. I belong to five guilds too... so if this is the true cause... then yay for hearing the sounds aplenty until the event ends.

Started for me since the latest hotfix though it got worse with the start of the event.

You don't need to be in combat. Sometimes when Ultimate is ready it ping from time to time

Oh I yeah I bet it is that. I was just thinking this. I don't think I'll be playing eso for the next two weeks. What a bizarre bug to troll players with during this event.

It can be also "addons out of date" reminder. Checked it several times after this sound, 0 new mails but in Notices "Some of your add-ons are out of date"

I have noticed the odd notifications.
On the other topic, you haven't leveled up scrying on another character, have you (we only get one automatic purple lead in each zone per account)?

I'm getting it too since the recent update. I disabled add-ons as a test and it still happens a lot.

Thank you for posting this!! Yes, the sound seemed to lessen as the night wore on, so definitely could be associated with guild leader boards. There is no way this should sound if you have the option turned OFF. It just needs to be fixed!!
