Since your containers say that you have 0 items inside them, this might not be applicable, but I figure it's worth a shot?

Apparently, the game would associate the chests with the most recent character to have opened them, and if you then delete said character, the contents of the chests will also be deleted.
Just thought I'd put it out there.

Great, I deleted 2 characters yesterday on 2 alt accounts... so I'm double-whammied by big bugs. Maybe someday I'll remember to "never log in for the first 48 hours after a quarterly update, it's just too risky"
We get storage chests?

I think I’ll be doing this as a matter of course in future. Each release is an absolute state. I regret not being able to do my dailies and gaining the stuff I would’ve got but it worked out better than losing a whole ton of stuff that’s taken me months, maybe years to collect.

If you got hit by this, submit a ticket and DO NOT PUT ANYTHING ELSE IN YOUR CHESTS.
Evidently it wasn't just deleting characters, it was from deleting low-level characters... and the one I deleted was a Lv. 3.
Thanks for the ZOS team for finding the answer and hopefully we'll get our stuff back soon.
