What is going on with Jee-Lar's daily??!!

Why in the world would we need 150 individual daily quests to complete Jee-Lar's Cyrodilic Collections prologue achievement; whereas other similar daily quests are 30 max? I'm having the "Hey, McFly.." Back-to-the-Future movie, or the Homer Simpson "'Doh" moment here. Can you good folks at the ZOS lounge get this reduced to 30 like the rest.. please? There.. I said please. Ha ha.

I hate the Jar Jar quest. He's annoying to me, but I'm an achievement hunter, so I find myself talking to him everyday...

Yeah it's because we used to be able to do all of his quests each day but they have recently cut that down to just 1 to be inline with other dailies. What they didn't do is also cut down on how many we need to do what you are talking about. So basically - oversight...

The sad thing is, if we don't get enough people here on the forums talking about this - it wont change.

Yeah, this got changed in a patch some time back and it's such a dumb change. It's been discussed quite a bit in this thread:

[Lie] Of course! I don't even worship Daedra!

    @ZOS_Kevin

Please can we get a response about 4 months being added to this achievement years after Murkmire came out, as well as the drop rates of both this and the Elysweyr Defense force prologue? These were not adjusted to match the change in quests.

I'm sure ZoS will fix this - unfortunately it will probably be by raising the similar achievements to 150 too, because their fixes always seem to make things worse for us.

I know they have said in the past that changing achievements after the fact is problematic. Like, they can fix underlying things that are not triggering the achievements. "I did this dungeon in under 30 minutes but did not get speed run." They can fix that. But changing a 30 minute speed run to a 20 minute speed run, or a 150 quest achievement to be a 30 quest achievement? That seems to be an issue. They don't like changing the achievement itself. Not sure why, and not sure if it is impossible to change or just a pain in the neck on ZOS side.

It doesn't matter how many you're or were able to do each day. 150 is still a lot no matter how you look at it. I don't play this game all day or every day. Hey, God bless and more power to those that can.

Granted, ZOS and the devs have put in phenomenal time and efforts in this game, as there are so many quests and things to do. That is just it. I don't have time to put into this game as I would like. Heck, the other 30 days dailies are already daunting for me to do. It has taken me over 4 months just to complete certain ones of the other 30 days dailies, and I still have other DLCs' ones to get to.

How hard can it be to reduce the amount? Surely, they can make the change as effortless as putting all new stuff on the crown store or making changes and nerfs to characters and skillsets as things have been. Come on..

I was surprised to see 150 in the pop-up, since the "milestones" only go up to 50. Seems like an error.

TBH I have only ever done these quests myself a few times. Back when that event was running where we got double loot for doing ANY daily quest. Even then I only done all the quests in one day once. I even thought to myself then - this must be a bug. Never looked into it or many of the other dailies myself tbh. I didn't even know there was such an achievement until I saw this issue raised on the forums the first time.

I am in the same boat as you - I have not done most of the dailies myself either as I am working on a lot of other stuff in the game first. I only started doing specific ones as these events come around because we earn double rewards off them or get Event tickets. Currently the only Dailies I do are crafting and Undaunted for my Companions Skill line. I don't do ALL dailies simply because they are there to do - that would be ridiculous. I do them as I get around to doing them either because of Events or I am working on a skill line/motif set or achievements. I think this was the intended purpose for them as they were added to the game. Not looked at as something you HAVE to do every day because we can. They are not meant to be seen the same as daily log ins or endeavors. That would be just crazy.....more power to you tho if that's what you are doing. But I certainly don't have the time to do that and by the sounds of things I do play more than you and do have more time to play.

What I meant in my post was - since we COULD do all of them every day, in ZOS's mind (not mine) the equivalent amount of days to complete them should be the same as other dailies. That's just their logic. I am assuming the thought "maybe some people don't have enough time (energy or patience for that matter) to do all in 1 day" ever crossed their minds. The option or possibility is simply there, the onus is on you to make it work. And so again I go back to the intent of my first post here - I agree with you, the number SHOULD be lowered and was simply an oversight.

Wait they changed this to one per day?? Well, that cements it... I'm never, ever, ever gonna restart the achiev hunt on another character. Completely bananas. My utmost sympathies to anyone who wants to finish that.

Neither. When we interviewed Finn on the podcast he explained that there was a risk of database corruption when you start changing achievements.

So, it's technically possible (and a handful of achievements were changed close to launch) but messing with achievements is (apparently) more risky than you'd expect.

Yes. So they shouldn't have changed Jee-Lar at all. And should revert the change. It's incredibly unfair that some people go the achievement in 30 days and some will have to take 5 months.

Sometimes even the former gets messed up, as this person witnessed - their character got corrupted when fixing an achievement. :(

A little different there, as he got someone in CS to muck around with his achievements, and it seriously derped up his account.
