How Do I Get To Doomchar Plateau?

I wanted to check it out, but since they didn't put it on the house list you have to go to the physical door. The problem is that as far as I can tell its completely surrounded by impassable cliffs and invisible walls. How do I get in?

There is a portal in a underground path, its south of the wayshrine.

Go to the Impresario, there's a portal next to her that'll take you to the entrance
