So many significant changes not in patch notes

Usually the patch notes miss a couple of things. But this time it's like they forgot an entire section.

  • Corrosive armor ignoring spell resistance
  • deadly being nerfed from 20 to 18%
  • potentates buff from 3% to 5%
  • crusader set (from volenfell I know) has a completely new effect
  • rejuvenation cp nerfed from 150 to 90 recovery
  • sword and board passive giving 5% spell damage -Spurius_Lucilius
  • expert summoner giving 8% max health for any daedric ability instead of having a pet active -Nifok
  • etc

    Crusader is in the notes.

    Crusader:
    This set now grants you a damage shield based on your Weapon and Spell Damage for 6 seconds and creates an Area of Effect beneath you for 10 seconds whenever you deal direct damage with a Blink, Charge, Leap, Teleport, or Pull ability. Every 2 seconds, the area grants you and group members inside Minor Courage for 12 seconds. These effects can occur once every 20 seconds.
    This set’s 2 through 4-piece bonuses are now Weapon and Spell Damage (2, 3, and 4) rather than Max Stamina, Stamina Recovery, and Max Stamina.
    This set no longer increases your dodge chance bonus of Roll Dodge by 0.3 seconds.

    As a non-pet sorc since 2016 the U46 Patch Notes sound like: "Those who do not wish to interact with the pet gameplay can now replace this skill line eso as a whole."

    Another thing misses in the patch notes: Sword and Board provides 5% both weapon and spell damage instead of only weapon damage.

    Lol didn't they nerf potentates like a year ago from 5 to 3, and now they're bringing it back up? Seems zos can't make their minds up.

    I would say its a good thing that they change something that they think is a mistake instead of keeping it the way it was.

    And it this case it doesnt seem to be a bad change, seeing how the TTK got quite low this patch, so they try to make ppl a bit tankier again.

    Yes, PTS has potentates back up to 5% and this is not in the patch notes.

    Is this a novel mistake for Zenimax?

    Has anyone checked Magma Shell to see if the damage shield to allies can now cover an entire 12-person group?

    I would love that as another stealth buff.

    Wouldn't even be that hard to fix. Allow the WD lines to provide WD and SD, and change the WCrit to Crit Chance. Done.

    The nerf to 18% would even be justified since the set would theoretically add a good chunk of power to off-spec DoTs/channels due to the updated Medium Armor passive.

    They changed Expert Summoner (The last passive in the Sorcerer, deadric summoning tree) from:

    Increases your Maximum Health by 8% while you have a Daedric Summoning pet active to

    Increases your Maximum Health by 8% while you have Daedric Summoning ability active on yourself

    which works on the shield and on having bound armor slottet. Which is kinda huge for PvP.

    I just messed around with it and the only Summoning ability that it is not activated from is Daedric Curse, which makes sense.

    Well usually the only stam that use Deadly is Templar and some DK builds and it buffs RoR and any fire DoTs and Burning from DK so overall not really a nerf or not much of one. No they did not make it useful for Mag though.

    Cresent sweep will do more damage and so will radiant oppression. I already used cresent in my build, and now I can use an execute. Def still a stamina set.

    So it needs to be used, not just slotted? Eh, it is a nice change but it should be for slotted skills like every damn similar passive in the game. I guess they made it for PvP for par swaping, but now would the regen passive would work like that or is it unchanged? I'm not sure why are they doing this, so it is good if you have bound armament but useless if you bound aegis.

    This change reminds me of draugrkin. Magicka set with all magicka bonuses but it is used on stam specs for pvp because of the last piece bonus.

    Shield and pets need to be activated active/summoned to receive the health bonus.

    But Bound Weapons and Bound Aegis you only have to have them slotted.

    Curse is the only skill left out and doesn't receive the bonus for being either slotted or activated.

    The sustain passive has remained the same as far as I can tell.

    Don't know how they do it in eso, but I remember talking to staff on SWG who collated patch notes saying they were given a huge. Almost code heavy print out of notes that needed deciphering to make the patch notes. It was often the miss reading of complicated code that lead to these missed notes than anything subversive

    Looks like today's Patch Notes list the Potentates buff as a mistake. And it is now back to 3%.

    Except, like you point out, nobody will actually use it because it's useless.
    If ZOS really wants us to have to think about active CP nodes, then they gotta come up with more than 4 that are actually useful. Right now, at best, the only time I really have to put thought into things is in the Warfare tree, where both DPS and Healers now have 5-6 decent slottables.

    The green side is just an exercise in frustration.

    And even with the nerfs, I doubt anyone other than tanks are going to give any thought whatsoever to the fitness tree, except maybe to think about whether to swap out one of the other mitigation passives for Ironclad (which will probably depend on what precisely you're trying to run.)
