So just wondering do you mates think this years Q3 will provide a QoL for those of us who wish to play ESO on the go on our Steam Decks will be possible or is it a long shot?? Also Sorry for the Necro Post, but to avoid issues with the moderators who would just redirect the new post to here for further conversations anyway.

The biggest issue is with how the game is installed from Steam. They should remove the installer and serve updates through Steam directly.

There's no reason to avoid using Steam's update servers!

This would fix the initial installation issue on Steam Deck which requires downgrading Proton and a command-line argument to properly detect disk space.

Besides that, the game runs great on Steam Deck providing controller support is enabled.

Does anybody know if ESO will run on the Steam Deck? It uses SteamOS, which is built on Linux I believe.

Would hate to have to replace the factory OS with Windows…

It runs but takes a big workaround.
I wonder how bad the ping is playing off Wi-Fi on the deck ? I considered playing on my deck but I wanted to wait and see if it ever gets a playable or verified status. But it does work and there is guides online to get it to work but as of now it’s “unsupported “ status.
