Would it be cool if they banker/merchant assistants had a guild store/bank option?

I feel that it would be nice for the banker assistants had a guild bank option and the merchant assistants had a guild store option on them along with a repair option on them.

The reason they don’t is because they want to keep having reasons for players to visit big cities, so the cities don’t appear abandoned.

Yes, I've been saying this for awhile now.

We should be able to setup the merchant in our homes and sell things through that channel.

We need more reasons to visit cities, not less.

I wouldn't say no to this feature but I really don't mind making the trip to a bank in town to access guild stuff.

It's good in theory, I just don't see them adding it though, same with the merchant assistant being unable to repair or the fencing assistant being unable to launder, they made them all like that on purpose so that you would still have to visit towns and outlaw refuges.

If they made it so are bankers could access the guild bank/guild traders, made the merchant able to repair, made the fence able to launder, writ boards and turn in points for are houses, crafting writ merchant for are houses, towns that don't have daily quests to pick up or turn in would become a lot more empty very quickly.

Since even players who don't own the assistants would be able to just port to one of there guild houses use the services there, you would rarely see anyone in the towns, aside from daily quests once you have done the local one off quests people rarely have a reason to go back to most cities in the game, apart from stealing/murder and maybe to visit the achievement furniture merchants or do event quests not much else I can think of.

I would be lying if I said I didn't want them to add those things, I would leave you all to your empty cities in a heartbeat but I understand why they probably won't add them.

I don't see why not to be honest. Because lets think about it for a second. Right now out in the world no one NEEDS a Banker or Merchant assistant when you can simply just enter the Imperial City Campaign to do EVERYTHING that the assistant Banker and Merchant can do, PLUS everything they can't. You then simply exit the Sewer Door and are teleported right back to where you were.

If we look at it from that angle the only REAL good purpose/use for these assistants is to have them in our houses. I do have the banker and merchant assistants so I know what I'm talking about.

Yes there is a penalty for going to the Imperial City from where you are due to the load screens. But now I am playing on PS5 - these load screens are literally 30s tops and even that is rare. Considering the assistants cost 5k crowns, I would say that balances that out. 5k is kind of a lot....

Of course they should. Forcing people.to.use a town bank to.Post items on guild trader is silly. I would also.like.to.see.a.favorites tab for.guild.you like.to buy from, so your not forced to waste time jumping around.

they certainly should have more functionality, they are not cheap by any means, people still would need to go to towns to pick up daily quests

Towns should look populated and having to travel to post to guild traders or to buy from guild traders helps towns and zones in general feel populated.

      Yes but.........

If people are all in the towns all the time then you have people moaning the overland world is empty so you just can't win so why even bother trying to force some things like this?

I would rather see people out in the world doing stuff rather than in the city all going to the exact same NPCs doing the exact same things and creating big giant blobs (banker/merchant) just to artificially make it seem busy, there are NPCs for that after all.

On the other hand tho, if they added the logical thing where we could repair our own gear at each craft station, I would not oppose having to go to towns for that, it just makes sense.....

That is why there are things to do out in the boonies you can't do in town. Dolmen are but one example. Picking flowers another. Killing skeevers yet another.

I find towns too crowded as it is. I would welcome such a banker - especially if it would reduce traffic in town some. The main reason I want such a banker (and a merchant who can repair things) is to avoid overly crowded cities by going to a a quiet peaceful house of my own.

Another reason would be that they promised when they launched the Crown Store that the stuff you buy with money would not be better than what you find in game.

Having the merchant/banker do all the things the NPCs in town do AND being able to summon them at will would break that promise.

Call me a snob but I don't see how this is "cool" or "uncool".

Would it be practical? Sure, yes. Absolutely.

I would rather they fixed the thief-merchant you can have instead. It is useless at this point.
