NBs on PTS thread

I main a stamblade incap build. I also have a bomber though I don't like it as much but I digress.

Being on XB I don't get to go on the pts and see how hard in being boned so I'd love to hear from PTS NBs for feedback. All I can do is look at the numbers and shake my head.

ZOS hates burst builds end of story. They have combatted "One-shot" builds for years slowly eroding high damage off the burst in favor of moronic ball group/elongated 15-min group play. I was on a DK when alessian was awesome and literally got bored to during my own fight and just walked away. I play NB for a reason. The thrill of the chase, the thrill of hte gank, the lols, and the burst. NBs are built for burst. The sustain abilities/passives suck compared to others b/c almost everything else is built for burst . . . but ZOS hates burst, so they continue to take it away either through direct class/weapon/set nerfs, or by buffing mitigation.

ZOS hates burst. They hate gankers, they hate stealth, even though every class can stealth and every class can gank. I've seen templar gankers, I've seen DK gankers. Most beautiful thing ever. NB just hide better, that's about it. But cloak can be hosed with ease.

So again, according to ZOS: screw the burst, screw the gank. ZOS hates those two things in favor of 12-man purge, radiating regeneration ball groups that can mow over twice their number, heal through all the damage, and never run low on resources (and they think a new magicka set will help discrupt that . . . cute), AND perfected 4-man pet healer groups that again have all the mitigation, all the healing, all the resource management, and also have all the damage.

I'll add to my initial statement: ZOS hates burst, they hate gankers, they hate nightblades, and they hate balance and they'll never do anything about it but continue to weigh the scale in favor of anything but that.

I logged in last night to the PTS (PC NA), played around with CP, took a look at the new skills, respecced, and then went to cyrodil. I couldnt find anyone on. Spammed in zone, went to IC after that, went to some dueling zones, asked in guild chat....nothing lol. I ended up logging out.

The thing I most want to test out is the new cloak and the new anti cloak mechanics. I guess I'll have to wait till this weekend.

Right now to get get an almost certain kill on anyone pushing 30k health I have to hit 5 to 6 skills. It's not like I'm one shotting anyone and neither is anyone else, unless the target is another NB or PVEer.

Poison Injection (master bow) - shadowy - ambush - incap - surprise attack - execute.

Good players move way before i get to that end, forcing me to either chase or retreat. It's bad (vocal) players who stand there and try to trade with me.

I just don't see how I can burn through battle spirit buff + this ridiculous free majority protection. You think I'm annoying now? Wait till the game forces me to run all dots and you drop dead after running away.

This is why we run 12 Nightblades deep. The problem with dot builds though is the ease in which tghey can be cleansed. The strongest classes: Warden, Templar, and Necro have built in purges. DKs and Sorcs can use Cleanse or Efficient purge, or shield/dragon blood the dmg away.NB's are left with cleanse and cloak which works maybe 50% of the time.

Competey agree. I hate dot builds. Back in the day when I was learning I did a bow/bow dot build. I hated it. I like to get my own kills which is why I don't bomb often.
