We are currently investigating issues some players are having logging into the PTS. We will update as new information becomes available.

Introduce a polling system to patch notes so we can all see how the notes are received

It seems like many of these changes are 1. Either purely for the sake of change and flogging a DLC that people would have happily forgone buying, throwing a relatively balanced patch in to another of complete cheesy tank vs tank stalemate meta 2. These changes like the ‘PvP tests’ are for nothing more than to create a distraction from the abysmal server performance, driving players who notice and care about balance away from the PvP, especially cyrodil. Just the addition of a potential 20% increase in damage reduction from CP and battle spirit changes + easy major protection is like 1 step forward since CP 2.0 was introduced for 1 set of patch notes to send us 20 steps back. PvP since CP 2.0 has been the only fun I’ve had on this game in going on 2 years and to think its all going to drastically change seemingly for the sake of it.

There seriously needs to be real feedback that can be directly voted on and viewed by the community, so that everyone can see the actual reaction of players dedicated enough to even regularly use the forums. Its crazy to think of things that go live with literally near 0 support from the playerbase, plus discussions can be based on real player feedback rather than from purely personal experience.

Polls would be just useless, people have their opinions, feeling etc. and most stuff we read even on forums are those and not a measured response most of the times. A survey? Would be infinitely better, player would at least answer questions about them being competent talking on X topic before their suggestions being taken into consideration. Also in-game patch notes, so not only forum worms would be able to actually get an idea what's to come would be good. It's anyway irrelevant if devs have some "vision" of theirs from time to time ignoring all the incoming feedback of a feature or adjustment just to be scrapped next patch. Or stay to bother us until new team vision comes.

Not sure how that will help. Whenever there is a major pvp change I see half the posters screaming about how its an awful change that will kill the game and the other half saying its a wonderful change that must go through (see inner beast) so however you look at it... half the community must be wrong ;)

For the most part, it seems like the PTS is for players to verify if the decisions they've made work, not to give opinions on those decision.

Why? We aren't developers, and this isn't open source design. For the most part the small portion of the player base that visits the forums does so to complain. It would be a *highly* skewed "poll" that would serve no purpose. Just look at the current posts, after less than 24 hours, on the first pass of the build...people losing their minds for nothing. A poll would be less than useless as it would only, falsely, reinforce the idea that the complaints are a majority opinion and therefore something *must* be done.

If you're on the pts it's part of the deal that you give feedback. If you don't bother coming to the forum to voice your opinions then they don't matter.

It’s their game, they can do what they want with it. :) sometimes play base doesn’t know the full game plan they got going on, don’t think a poll is needed.

Agreed...note that isn't what the OP is asking for. They asked for a poll to see how Patch NOTES were received. This isn't about play testing, or any testing...which is the problem.

Frankly I cannot think of a more useless way for Zos to spend their time.

How are you planning on doing this poll so it's representative of the player base?

I mean, even popular polls on the forums get like a whopping 500 votes.

The vast majority of players adapt to the new update and keep on playing.
