Slotting PvE taunts in PvP...

Can't wait to slot sword and board taunt for 9k penetration and now inner beast for 15% more inc damage as well in PvP. Good thing that we have so many skill slots already and are already forced to run so many buff skills (like major protection on flare now wtf...). Someone please enlighten me how being forced to slot overpowered but generic and boring buff skills makes the gameplay more engaging.
I used to think that PvP was a tragedy, but now I realize, it's a comedy.

Couldn't have said it better, i want to play each class with the different class skill, not play the same skills with every class.

ZOS doesn't want to make combat more interesting, they want to make it easier for randoms. They are constantly looking for that sweetspot where randoms can kill an experienced player easily and at the same time an experienced player can't use it against them easily. Hence the passive defense (which works the same for everyone), hence the skils that easily make someone's build not matter so much, etc. etc. Yes it is silly but given my experience with ZOS so far I wouldn't count on any improvement.
    Say no to Toxic Casuals!
I am doing my best, but I am not a native speaker, sorry.

"Difficulty scaling is desperately needed. 9 years. 6 paid expansions. 24 DLCs. 40 game changing updates including A Realm Reborn-tier overhaul of the game including a permanent CP160 gear cap and ridiculous power creep thereafter. I'm sick and tired of hearing about Cadwell Silver&Gold as a "you think you do but you don't"-tier deflection to any criticism regarding the lack of overland difficulty in the game." - @AlexanderDeLarge

This is the direction they want to take the game this patch.

Likely we'll see a shift next patch, the meta in this game is the most volatile I have ever seen for any game.

Right now they stated they wanted to increase TTK so we're getting tankier.

I guess the debuffs they added balance it out a little bit so maybe it's not so bad. We should test out the new meta before we shoot it down.

Should leave Battlespirit as is, the new CP will help more than enough with tankyness.
Inner Beast Pve Only, its too strong as is, forcing nearly everyone to slot it essentially taking a skill slot away.

If they want to do so when they're terrible at their job. The powercreep in both offense and defensive between the classes is beyond broken. They might parse similar on a target dummy but that's it pretty much. Doesn't help magblade to be a good PvE dps when all of their damage is avoidable by pressing block or roll for example.

I think non-tanky builds will get tankier. Tanky builds won't see much. Too many diminishing returns for the multitude of % damage reduction. My necro sees a whopping 3% increase in actual reduced damage adding major protection from flare.

What you can do is drop % damage reduction CP stars, sets, etc. because other changes made them less efficient. So now I can boost more damage, whatever and stay as tanky as before.

This has never been the case though. The floor/ceiling gap has only been widening for the past seven years. Everything they try to do to help casuals ends up being abused by tryhards to stomp pugs even harder. Look at the new patch notes, these new "anti ball group" sets will do absolutely nothing against coordinated HoT stacking and purge spam. If anything, the ball groups will use them to vacuum pugs into their stun lock bombs.

Tbh. Giving squishy builds that have a lot of burst more tankyness is an equivalent if giving tanky build more dmg output...

It is just bad idea and feels wrong. If some one wants to be tanky - then ok, but you sacrifice a lot of dmg for it. If some one decides to go for dmg, then build will be less tanky. Having both leads to broken builds, like we had not so long ago when tanks had dmg too as proc sets did not scaled with any of your stats.

I've been using inner beast for years to trigger tremor scale.
