Duplicate crafting surveys go "POOF" now! (Western Skyrim confirmed)

In western skyrim I lost the whole stack of surveys from harvesting the location once.

edit: It is repeatedable. It is happening on every survey stack. Until this gets fixed, anyone who doesn't meticulously split stacks and store duplicates off character will lose them.

Also reported on reddit by two others. The location was western skyrim as well!

I guess they removed the hassle of getting the nodes to reset by just taking all the surveys!

Did it give the same amount for each node for a single survey?

It didn't give me more nodes to harvest.

The one survey definitely gave me 20 per node as I opened my champion point window to see just how much the % was for double yield as it seemed like it was never triggering. This just happened within the hour so it's fresh in my mind.

Double yield should not impact surveys as far as I know. Did you happen to have a stack of 2 surveys?

True, only way to farm 2 surveys of same node is to split them in inventory, or else...

It's been reported, and not just by me. This is so far known to happen in Western Skyrim.
For now split your survey stacks and move duplicates out of the character's inventory. Do NOT carry the same surveys on the same character.

Which is why I wonder how a node could have 20 items. I thought it was 10 per node.

I haven't seen this yet since I am rebuilding on the PC and don't have duplicates (nor the need for lots of low level mats now).

The amount you get varies some, hitting a mining node for example will quite commonly reward 20 raw mats. Normally when running a stack of duplicates you just need to "re zone" them by travelling away a certain distance and then going back. Hopefully this is just a bug and not a new feature or surveys just became way more of a headache than they're worth.

The 2 surveys get removed from the inventory the moment you collect the first ressource. I tested if the bug worked after my brother encountered it. The reddit post is from me and I also mentioned the problem here:

This just happened to me with 2x enchanting surveys for Western Skyrim. Looted one set of nodes and both surveys disappeared.

Okay, so I just reproduced this with 2x W.Skyrim blacksmith surveys. Looted one set of nodes and both copies of the survey were deleted.

I'm holding off on ALL surveys until this is sorted out, that's too many mats to be flushing down the drain.

I hope a person who can investigate and fix this notices the bug.

It is no different than the game just deleting inventory items on it's own.

Interesting. I don't recall ever getting double mats on surveys, especially after the new CP settings.
