I have the PS4 digitial version running on my PS5, with all DLC and Chapters purchased, but it also states that the disc is required to get the free PS5 upgrade.

I preorder ps5 in april to get it in november. And i get it delivered at my door 18 november. Most people know it would be problem get this at realese day.

    The earliest you could pre-order a PS5 was September 16th, 2020.

Not true, I preordered mine in April too. Through Amazon.

There was no price or release date info then. I'm not arguing you didn't pre-order, but I'm really curious as to how pre-orders were with no price or release date info. I can't even find info regarding erroneously listed pre-orders for April of last year. I'm just really confused now 🤣

Maybe you live in a country back in time. Lol. When you preorder from webshops they have price that is much higher but you not pay that price, they do it this way so you get it delivered after date you sendt in preorder. People preorder in june would not get it before in april, abd before april they get a new Mail say sorrrrryyyy you have to wait to a date we not know anymore but we send you a Mail when time getting close.

You can only upgrade with the disc version on PlayStation

Sure the upgrade is free, but alot of us bought the game or an upgrade to play it on ps5 and not on ps4. So not really free...

But the ps4 backwards compatible version still works. Just be patient. They’ll get it working when they can. It’s not like you can’t play the game right now. You just cant play the FREE ps5 upgrade version.

I dont mind waiting, but no way im going to download the ps4 version to start to play, just to delete it and download the ps5 version 🤣

Theoretically that‘s correct. But imagine: due to the lack of a big system storage someone might had to delete the PS4 Version ahead of the Upgrade

Yeah, just delete a few games because of that

Playing on PS4 after playing on ps5 for a little while actually feels like I'm on a PS3 version of ESO.

….. if your storage on the PS5 is such an issue that you had to delete the PS4 version (that still works) then you clearly have other games you could be playing instead of complaining on the forums about how your free update doesn’t work. And if you aren’t playing them and are that hungry for eso, delete a different game, install the ps4 version, and get to saving Tamriel,

Orrrrrrrr just be patient and play something else in the meantime. People out here really acting surprised that the launch didn’t go as planned. 😂 Those of us that have played long enough know that this is just part of the routine.

I live in the US. Forgive me if I'm not familiar with the pre-order customs of other countries.

I read the article. That seems like a terrible way to pre-order. They accept pre-orders without actually having any allotment at all. They just hope they can procure units to get to people eventually. Some stuff may have been lost in translation, but I think that was the gist of it. Pre-ordering has been a fiasco here, too, but that's for entirely different reasons.

Nah, I was playing on my PS4 before One Tamriel. Not being able to run dungeons with other alliance members and all.

Those were the days. When everything was level and alliance locked. This game has really come a long way

“Play something else” is not a valid way to dismiss this problem, personally i had a raid planned today and wanted to see if it made a difference

So, like...is it going to be available to digital owners of the PS4 version any time this calendar day? I'm starting to fear not, at this rate. We aren't even getting any real details of how it is coming along, if anything is being done specifically to try fix this or if it is still just a mystery what is causing it to insist on the Disc from Physical Copies only for getting it, not simply allowing any owners of the game to get it...

I get that. But it’s not like the game is broken or unplayable. Just the upgraded version of the game you wanted isn’t ready when we expected it to be. It happens. It’ll be working soon enough. Rule of thumb is don’t make plans on launch day for eso. Ever. It never goes as planned and that’s just how it is.

Or the devs could actually test things and not release them before they’re ready lol

I wouldn't count on anything today. With no updates today doesn't look very promising for us digital owners.

This is not a ZOS thing, this is entirely a Sony issue. ZOS has no control how their product is purchased on the PSN store. Sony needs to rectify how it can be purchased. If you buy the base game again the PS5 version does work.

I pre-ordered my Xbox Series X from Microsoft and got it on release day. I got a PS5 a few weeks ago - I think they're readily available now.

Some repurchased the game and still have no access to the ps5 version. I don’t understand this post

Passing the issue over to Sony is also not a valid excuse to me, FF7R PS5 version launched last week and didn’t have this problem

Oh sure lemme buy the same game twice to fix this problem, great idea

I've literally already said in this thread, that this isn't the first time that Sony has messed up SKUs on the PSN store which resulted in players not being able to download both full games and add-ons. It's 100% a Sony issue.
