✭I will never understand peoples distinct aversion to what is by all accounts simply an odd sound that occurs once a day.
I mean at most its a strange sound to use at all.

Cutting your ears off might be a bit extreme, though.4 -

I’m guessing players weren’t noticing that they got rewards or something? I’ll just have to imagine the Zelda chest opening sound in its place.5 -

✭Ok some of us may be hearing different sounds. What I hear when I get my daily log in, and this just started with the PS4 patch last Tuesday, is this awful metallic springy bounce sound. It sounds nothing like when you get mail.14 -

I never really noticed. Couldn't even say what it sounds like right now.
Usually I am a bit annoyed that most audio feedback is so damn unobtrusive. Whispers are way too easy to miss and I did miss quite a few dungeon finder checks.0 -

PS4 here and I hear two distinct sounds, which started with the update: a metallic spring "byo-yoing-CLONK" clonking sort of sound that ends with the ding sound of receiving a group invite.PS5 NA.
