What’s your Harpooner’s Wading Kilt leads experience?

Mazzatun: Wasn't farming, dropped during a guild farming session for someone else (I got it, they didn't )

Started me on the quest to get the rest, so...

Murkmire: took longer to find the fishing hole than it did to find the lead.
Blackwood: Found by accident previously, so no idea how long.
Bal Foyen: About 50 muggings, quick circular route and it dropped
Shadowfen: 3~4 days, PTSD, now have an aversion to water holes, swamps and crocodiles. If I never go back to the 'fen, it'll still be too soon.

The only thing worse I've done recently was do the Psyjiic questline start to finish for the skill line. One of the most uninspiring activities, along with this. Still not 100% sure the kilt was worth it.

Considering the update obliterated the ones I did find, how do I calculate? As is, you couldn't pay me enough to have to camp out in Shadowfen ever again so I am done with the search.

Specifically regarding the Shadowfen lead (which was the one in most “contention” to get, IMHO) - I feel that if you are camping a node or can’t find an available node because there are too many players nearby… you are doing it wrong.

Just swim across the southern river - and follow the bank from east to west - and there are TONS of untapped nodes. You can even see the ones on the other side of the river (north in this case, usually) and are able to swim to them super quickly & then back across - without coming in contact with any other players / competition at all.

Why would you waste a 5 minute re-spawn camping a specific node spot - when there are tons of others to go check? This way - you get to know where they are - and can easily ride past other people looking - and just go to where you KNOW they are.

I did mine at the height of the first wave surge - and had no problems at all, other than my own RNG.

Also try the far North shore - up around where I think the Shadowfen Treasure Map 1 spawns to check nodes.

Shadowfen: About 3-4 hours farming casually, grabbing other mats, chests, surveys, etc. Got it on the first water of the day.
Bal Foyen: about an hour or two.
Blackwood: 3rd or 4th kill after actively looking for it, probably around the 10th.
RoM: Got it on a daily normal queue while fishing in murk ire.
Murkmire: about 2 hours total, got it from the hole I was at when I queued into RoM

Have done on main, & on character doing quests.

Nada. Zilch. Nothing.

I suppose this is rng revenge having got the other bits very easily…!🤣

Bal Foyen took longer than Shadowfen. I farmed the area on the top left part of the map. Didn't see another player and there were lots of nodes

I fished up the Murkmire lead but I dont see it in my available to scry list. Should I try fishing again?

8 runs of mazzatun was the worst for me, the rest was pretty quick. I dont actually wear it now, its sat in my bank gathering dust

Still working on Shadowfen... About 6-ish hours in and still nothing. I've lost my will to even bother with it.

-I got the Murkmire lead in about 2 hours,
-Blackwood world boss took like 3 tries (so about 15 minutes?)
-Bal foyen took about 5 days worth of trying to get the lead to drop. I literally queued for random dungeons and just ran around killing while in 1 hour+ queues on multiple days
-Still haven't gotten the Shadowfen lead, been trying for well over 7 days, running around grabbing nodes while waiting in dungeon queues
Mazzatun lead came quite fast, maybe 3 runs to get it

Took me a while to get it from Water Hyacinth BUT I did notice that ZOS has changed it to all alchemical plants. Beyond that, it is a grind, so just arm yourself with patience and empty slots, and bite the bullet.

I have been trying to get Silverweave Cord Lead for 5 days now and it is not dropping. I see that everyone got it in 10-25 minutes. is this normal?

Observed all my guildmates grinding it
Observed them only finding it useful for dummy parsing
Observed guilds adding 3K to their minimal scores for dummy parses if using kilt

Decided not to bother finishing it 8)

It took me 6 tries to get the Mazzatun lead for my first Kilt. The others were all fast.

I'm working on my second kilt (yeah, I'm stupid like that...should just reconstruct my first) and I got second leads fast...haven't started Mazz yet though.

I'll have my Kilt all ready to go just in time for whatever patch nerfs it into the ground.

Finally someone being realistic about this Mythic, I don't believe all those single digit Mazzatun runs to get the Fetish lead, just people lying for points. Thank you for your honesty BalticBlues

My experience? I spent weeks hunting down those leads for an item that - turns out - I never even use anyways!
