Very disappointing, I had high hopes I could change her appearance like as a companion, she does have a unique outfit different from her combat gear.

Yeah and her new outfit makes her look masculine and unstylish, I'de rather her wear her outside gear. Who designed this? it's terrible.

Now that I know they are not gonna be in their custom outfits, I will no longer try and get them as house guests.
I have no house guests at present and wanted someone in the house I could customise to give it a lived in feeling but since they are wearing generic outfits, there is no reason to try and get them as guests.

Wait — she wears a different outfit inside a house than she does outside?? Why? And we can’t change how she looks inside?? (I finished her quests and thus have her a a houseguest, but I haven’t tried to place her in any of my houses yet). I suppose Bastian is dressed differently, too? Jeez.

I'd have to go back and look, but I feel like the noncustomizable nature of Companion houseguests wasn't exactly advertised. Maybe ZOS figured we ought to know that Houseguests can't have their outfits changed, but still.
