Why is there almost nobody using Bastian?

I prefer Bastian over Mirri, just a personal preference he looks better with most of my characters & I'm not a fan of Mirri much. If I wanna steal I just send him away it's better to steal alone anyway
What I would really like out of a companion is a big Nord guy, possibly drunk and a little barmy x'D or one like Sheogorath

This. My nightblade alt runs around with Mirri, my brand new Stamplar girl hangs out with Bastian (he also helps my main Warden lass out in Craglorn; quick way to get them more gear. Main Warden lass sometimes forgets he frowns on stealing. Oops). My others don't use either of them. But them's for story/headcanon reasons.

I do find his passive comments a bit more twee, though: "what do you think you will make with that?" he asks for the umpteenth time. "A muzzle, Bastian, so you'll stop asking me that stupid question."

I use him all the time. He's my online crush with that dreamy voice of his.

Too funny 'cause I've done the same a couple times, and Bastion did, in fact, do a better job.
