I spent the first day doing CP points and unlocking both companions on all my characters, so I haven't actually played it yet. Thankfully I only have 3 characters. I can't imagine doing that on 18 or more. But the companions are a little overwhelming and look like a lot more work than I had anticipated.

Meh,not a fan.

I bought it without doing much research on it. Figured it would be like a regular new chapter, but it feels really bland to me. Haven't gotten too far into the story yet but so far it is extremely, extremely boring to me. It feels like they wanted to make a murder mystery but it isn't very mysterious and just a rehash of the generic story lines we have already seen over and over.

I really hope others are enjoying it though.

I haven't done much if any of the main quest. The land is beautiful, the side quests are fun or at least interesting and the dungeons are designed well. I've unlocked the companions but haven't done much with them. They just trail behind me earning xp while I kill things.

I did play it on PTS a bit and I do like the zone,however I did try the trial today for the first time and I must say I don not like it,but that is about the only thing I can say for now what I don't like.

I like it,seems very interesting.

So far looks better than Greymoor, but I don't like nords/snow/vampire theme so last chapter was a big pain for me. I'm not a big fan of swamps either, but zone looks better, I really love Leyawiin architecture and furnitures. Companions are not so bad, I even like them more than I thought - it's nice addition for chilliout, zone activities. Today Bastien even told about heavy sack I didn't saw by myself and that was useful I really hate rapport system with all these annoying dislikes. For example I don't drink any alcohol in real life, so my characters also don't touch it. But when I make my daily writs, Bastien is angry with crafting alcohol, when it's only work, not drinking With Mirri I can't collect bugs parts and have to avoid harbours which is really stupid and Bastien don't like stealing, so with any of them I will have hard times Maybe in future there will more suited companion for my needs, but now we have only two of them and this is a bit limiting.

I don't mind grind of companions (levels, skills and gear) - they are not crucial for anything and the best healer in game for solo play is Pale Order Ring, so I chill with progression and this is nice for endgame, that I have something more to progress which is much more interesting than grinding CP.

Spent much too much time last night playing the main quest. I had to forcibly stop myself from continuing, because I always love a good story and want to know how it turns out.

I found those oblivion rifts (or whatever they are) a bit confusing. There were no mobs, except for the endboss. I'm not sure that I find that very interesting. The loot wasn't really all that fascinating, either. Loot-wise, it's more like a harrowstorm. I just deconstructed everything.

It took me a moment to realize that the zone is much larger than I thought. Initially, I'd looked at the map and thought, oh, that's not much area. But then I started walking around (I always walk through a new zone, because I love to discover all the nooks and crannies... and treasure chests... and harvesting nodes... and whatever else I can find) and realized that I hadn't even discovered a third of it by the time I went to bed.

Companions are... interesting. I started with Mirri, because I like her dry humor. The only thing that does... well, not precisely annoy, but... bother (?)... me, is that I have to send her away every time I take a little peek into someone else's cabinets or trunks or boxes... I really don't understand what her problem is. I mean, it's just a little ownership readjustment... >.>

I find the delves that I've done so far a bit claustrophobic. But that's me...

Aside from that, I'm quite happy with it and will dive right back in, as soon as I've fed the cats for this evening. ^___^;;

I haven't done any quests in Blackwood yet, just picked up the companions and explored the landscape. The region and the music is great, even if I miss a real forest in it, the new furniture is unbeatable and the companions are great, I like them even better than I imagined. As always, I will try to approach the new content as slowly as possible in order to benefit from it as long as possible.

What is Blackwood? Spent this entire time farming leads in Murkmire, Shadowfen and Bal Foyen instead

I am loving it so far, but the state of it being my favorite zone is not established at this time.

I love it when eso rolls out a new chapter. I am enjoying the quests very much. I walked into Blackwood from Northern Elsweyr and started with the quest located near that entry point. Then I realized that I needed to pick up Bastion, so I made a detour and picked him up. Anyway, I resumed the questing and exploring. As of last night I have barely made a dent in the map. I'm reading everything and listening to entire dialogs. I am taking my time and enjoying it quite a lot.

I am biased though because Leyawiin/Blackwood area is one of my two favorite TES areas of all time

I quite like the zone though I can't say it's my favorite (that would be Elsweyr of course). I took my "main main" through the first section of the main quest chain - it was relatively interesting though Eveli drives me BATS (never did like her). It's definitely a beautifully realized zone, and I LOVE the music. Considering the bad taste I still have about Greymoor, I'm glad to be elsweyr now!

The Ayleid Wells and tapestry leads are a couple of cool little extras too.

The one thing I have found a problem with is creating a new character. I have the game open on my 4k screen on my left, and on the old 1080p screen on the right I have my game excel spreadsheets open, plus sometimes either browser window, or email though not constantly.

With the CharGen open, my computer virtually locks my other apps - can't swap to them using ALT TAB or by moving the mouse to the other screen. It's kind of annoying....

The story is typical. Another day, another cult. So far the plot twists are not a surprise.

I knew it wasn't really the DB, and guessed that one of the councilors was a traitor as well.

Too early to say much, only really went into the zone got the companions on multiple characters, haven't started the zone quest line yet be awhile before I do, probably after I get both companions maxed out in everything aside from gear.

Not directly part of Blackwood but not liking the proc set changes though, most of my proc sets have gone into storage for now they are just not worth using.

CP cost changes may make it so I lose any motivation to put much effort into leveling up any further, I have pretty much all I want unlocked from the CP system.

Every time they're changin cities that we were able to see on Oblivion, Morrowind or Skyrim im really excited because they making the really city like. Leyawiin is really like a city now than it was on Oblivion and i really enyoj walking around and just exploring this place. Of cours more rain will be better but well, we can have everyting xd
