What does Bastian like and not like?

In Blackwood during a fight required by the main story quest in which various daedric monsters emerge from portals I lost rapport with Bastion. That did not make sense to me.

Something similar happened to me. It was during a Oblivion portal fight there was a lot going on monsters spawning and all of a sudden he didn't like something I did. Maybe I killed a mouse or something benign while killing monsters or maybe I targeted something by accident and fired something off thankfully I have kill Innocents disabled. But it didn't take too long to regain that rapport loss. Like you I just wish I knew what it was he disapproved of. I took him crafting with me and purposely made acholic beverages and drank them he never said a word and didn't lose rapport, so I don't know what some people are talking about on this forum.

👀 I tried killing small creatures in particular a bunny I believe and he's okay with that.

I had him out while doing crafting writs, made an alcoholic drink and got a big negative rapport alert.

Yeah, there's a bug in one part of the main quest where he disapproves of killing a specific Daedra Valkynaz enemy. At least I assume it's a bug because the enemy is a hostile Daedra who comes to kill you and there's no reason Bastian should suddenly be having a bleeding heart about that.

He likes killing the Daedra and bandits that happen in random encounters, like with the bandits attacking the merchant and their bodyguard, or the sorcerer who summons Daedra and then pops a shield and calls for help. And he approves of killing the Worm Cult guys that summon the dolmen.

What alcoholic drink did you make, perhaps it has to do with specific types of drinks and their ingredients?

Mages Guild daily gives 125 Rapport

Bookshelves give 11 Rapport the first time you do it per 24 hours, 1 rapport every time after that around every 5 minutes

Dolmen's Give 1 Rapport (or maybe operate the same way as bookshelves, haven't tested yet.)

Do them, haven't tested shares with the guilds yet.

You know, he IS dragonKNIGHT so I don't know why people are getting annoyed by his actions. Although I prefer Miri with her more NB approach.

Neverthless, I am waiting for other companions: especially templar-alike & warden-style. As Abnur Tharn once said: Ooh, that is gonna be rich! ^^

Someone had a thread about it earlier this week but it indeed does seem like Bastian is a little weeny. No companions for me anyhow as they seem useless to anything other than casual gameplay.
