It's about a time for spellcrafting in 2022. It's been 7 years already and still counting since they showed it to us for the first time.

I'm looking at the OP's post and feeling like they and I are playing two different games, because Id on't know how anyone could hope for these sorts of things from the game I've been playing. Look, here's the deal:

    [snip]

    1. All MMO's have expansions, ESO uses a Chapter system. To call an expac feature P2W is nonsense considering in every other MMO you cannot even reach max level to start playing at all. This is perhaps the silliest narrative I always see get spread. Compared to the entire genre, ESO is the only MMO that you can buy the base game and still complete the hardest content that's included in it, and even then the hardest content that you can buy access to such as vDungeons in DLCs or vTrials in Chapters.

    2. Every class can still play every role but yeah the Chapter classes are more well rounded. Templars are great healers, naturally, but also good dps and with the incoming buffs quite solid tanks as well. The least rounded base class is Dragonknight, and even that has at least 2 meta roles.

    3. PVP is entirely dominated by Stamina. There are 3 Stamina DPS weapons. There is 1 Magicka DPS weapon. The magicka meta is still relatively short in the games entire lifespan. You're just bitter it's not Stam-only still.

    4. They will end up adding more "balance-able things" but yes, they have held off. Some other MMOs in mind just kept adding more things to tune over and over until it permanently broke the games balance. Then they stopped adding any interesting content at all. I'd sooner ESO do not go down that route. They'll add when it's prudent.

New skill line >>>> new class
Reason: a new skill line can be used by everybody (that has the chapter) a new class on the other hand can't (until they start selling class change tokens)

If they provide another free character slot like they have in the past everyone with the new chapter could do the new class.

Also, they know that most new players to whom they can market are facing a horrendous learning curve in terms of combat and end-game progression

You mean when the game doesn't teach players how to play the game for over 90% of the content, because it lowered the bar of skill to complete it, and so find themselves confused when participating in anything even possibly marginally more difficult?

    I am shocked.

I was telling abt new class and skill line, actually an only buffer class will start with delimitation of classes, and might be the first step for separate first the mass buffing from others classes into 1 class, and hopelly it will continiou with the healer,

This I think is needed for party role game, and fighting strategies

But I see that balance is really needed in the game, and I am not strong charachter yet.. but still I see gaps, between some characters (mostrly bcz of self healing), then others like crafting, which is before 50*160 pointless, drop which makes crafting less important.. material droping system which attached to level and not to the mob, area, zone- which woyld be good for the inside game economy . Guild selling system which makes limitation-which doesnt allow good competitor ingame. And many points which limited the game.. and with every new adding stuff which make the previous "old" it becomes centred on crown shop -> p2w

Just an example of a gap, we have bows with unlimited arrows.

Around only this weapon, they could create an arrow craft, which could be based on improving and giving arrows with increased power( fire arrows, cold arrows, etc) or damage (specific damage)

Create limited arrows will give to the game more tactics and strategy in the party/dung/trial game-role-play

One of ESO’s biggest flaw is that half of the things in the game doesn’t make sense lore wise. There’s a lot of rule breaking going on when it comes to the main lore in the Elder Scrolls universe. We are in the second era folks.

Vanus did want “ he proposed to make magical items, potions, and even spells available to any member of the general public who could afford to pay. No longer was magic to be limited only to the aristocracy and the intellectuals. It was because of his background, of "want and injustice, that he received his philosophy of sharing knowledge."”

Magical tomes and scrolls of fireballs implemented in the game does not make this game less of an mmo.

Yokudans had a different magical ability that allowed them to summon spectral swords, different from bound armaments and bound armor.

The greybeards and the way the voice. You didn’t need to be born as a dragonborn to learn them. Kind of funny that we have mundus standing stones yet there’s not 1 voice of power standing stone. Atmoran migration did bring Dragon priests to Tamriel, and not just solely within Skyrim. Zaan, a dragon priest, in Scalecaller peak for example, is in Stormhaven.

I’d love to have a dragon shout skill line, even if it’s just the first word of unrelenting force. “Fus”- Unblockable stun, interupt, cc, 10m x 28m ultimate shout.

But greybeards and the way of the voice are pacifists? Ugh no, It’s not enforced. Ulfric and Talos in Skyrim for example.

Grundwulf from Moongrave fane. A vampire (Nord I think) who uses Fus Ro Dah....I mean...why can’t we play a...? Nvm..

Why you want a new class when they cannot even correct the other 6?
Beside unarmed Combat wont be a thing. Since not even skyrim had it. Also beside role play there will be no real usage of it.

    Spears maybe.
Also i read someone wrote shouts... Youre NOT Dragonborn.

Personally I would like to see ESO do away with picking a class for your character and just open up class skills for all to use. This would of course require balancing but that would open up more freedom of gameplay choice. The result in my mind would be if you want to be a tank, you can gear up and use tanking skills, or same idea if you want to be a healer. Better hybrid builds.

The greybeards used shouts, and they weren't dragonborn, either.
Also, lore says that Ulfric Stormcloak used a dragon shout to kill High King Torygg. https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:High_King_Torygg

    Just sayin'.

I'm not interested in getting dragon shouts in ESO. Just thought I'd mention that you don't HAVE to be dragonborn to know shouts. It's a lore thing.

We dont need more things taken away from existing classes to make a new class the OP thing people have to buy.

They have said we are not getting any more characters slots for the forseeable future so until that changes and they can come up with something that doesnt strip other classes, I dont want to see any more classes

    Hmm, resume of the discution:

    1. New weapons 100% we need
    2. New class wouldnt be bad if exist

    New idea:

    3. and why not the third skill trasformation?-or better,: merging skills from paralel lines? Like class skill+weapon skill= some combo skill? - what do you think?

To echo previously voiced sentiments, I'd rather get magicka weapons overhaul - either destro staves have different abilities based on the element (might be very difficult to implement) or 1h melee range magicka weapon (wand, grimoire, mace...)

New weapons would be ace as we hang had any new at all.

Bard class, yes please but would want an eso twist on it so it’s a good damage dealer and tank as well, something close to shouts or tonal magic. Not just people playing an instrument wishing everyone else good luck. lol

    only class we need

Class skills should consist of a single word of a shout at most since unless you are dragonborn it's kind of a life long journey to master shouts in the lore.
Single word of a shout+ variety of meditating orianted skills to for buffs
Ultimates might be 2 words of a shout, or if zos feeling crazy, making one of the three skill lines only shout based and having a fully learnt shout as an ultimate for it could be also good.
Shout strength also must be different from what we had in skyrim, so if you got only "fus" it should do more than a mild breeze in a summer day. It should have at least a knock back or knock down aspect as it is a stun skill.

Bards in the TES universe don't use either the Thu'um or Tonal Magic. They are either (A) a player class specializing in speech and stealth, in a sort of charming rogue type (see Morrowind or Oblivion) or (B) poets and/or historians.

The Thu'um is an interesting case. It's not like a different form of magic or something that can be picked up and learned easily. The Greybeards take a lifetime of meditation on the meaning of the words in order to be able to use the Thu'um as the Dovah do. The only really quick way to learn the Thu'um is to be either a Dovah or a Dovahkiin, which the vestige is neither. The other sticking point is the only institution which exists currently to teach the Thu'um is the Greybeards, and they likely wouldn't approve of scores of Vestiges disturbing them in order to be able to Fus-Ro-Dah some wolves on Betony (even if they are looking for some ring).

Tonal Magic quite simply is a forgotten magic. The only practitioners of it were the Dwemer, and they guarded that secret well. Any knowledge of using Tonal Magic vanished with them. Unless the chroniclers of the 2E just happened to forget the discovery of one of the more powerful forms of magic to be practiced, it wouldn't be likely to happen either.

The only way for a Bard to be realistically implemented, is either through a skill line that allows performing of songs in taverns for gold, or if the current classes and skills were removed in favor of a more TES IV combat system.
