I haven't been near a BGS forum since they migrated the Skyrim one to the absolutely awful replacement. Before that happened, I copied a lot of troubleshooting info from posts in the old forum into files so the "good stuff" didn't get lost.

I use discord for guild stuff and mostly the voice function, the text is functional for guild use but not suited for an forum functionality in any way.

But I also hated the replacement for the old Skyrim forum who was functional, the new was horrible.

There is nothing about the ESO Discord atm that suggests they intend to use it as 2-way communication. It's basically a discord dedicated to Woeler's Discord bot, an excellent bot btw :P

Microsoft is in talks to buy Discord. Perhaps this is a sign that talks are going better then suggested?

Those already fell through. Discord gonna remain independent but has inked a partnership with Sony. Playstation will now have discord integrated.
