An innovative and precise raid finder that lets you filter what you are looking for (even after doing some mechanical invites) then sure, why not! I've noticed that those Craglorn or NCR LFG raids on PC EU aren't teaching anyone anything in particular, maybe this tool would motivate content leaders to promote 'learning' a bit more ;)

    One reason why not:

    1) In 99% of cases, trials will not be completed.

Rich Lambert spoke about this in an interview. Unfortunately, I cannot tell now which one.

As far as I can tell, question about trial group finder was asked on ESO live stream and basically they keep thinking about it, but they have problems with regular 4-man group finder as it tends to bug-out, so once they will have a reliable group finder for basic 4-man dungeons, they will start adding support for more content.

So basically - the issue seems to be purely technical and it is only a matter of time.
But what is really weird is that group arenas don't have a group finder support... and those are also 4-man content.

I think that if they implemented a system that incorporated filtering, trials could be okay. If they wanted to just extend our current dungeon finder to trials, it would be pretty messy.

Arenas on the other hand, I can see why they were never incorporated into the dungeon finder. On vet (I wouldnt care what they did with normal) they are substantially longer and more mechanic heavy than most dungeons. It would lead to an unnecessary nerf.

You wouldn't need to look back very far to find a "vSCP is unpuggable" thread or a thread from a PvPer asking for Zaan's on the golden because it was impossible to get a clear with a PUG.

Of the groups that I have been involved with, our fastest time in vSCP (non-HM) is just under 15 minutes. Our fastest time in vDSA is in the 40-50 minute range, I forget the exact time.

Other groups can do that faster, Im simply using our times to illustrate the difference between the two. vDSA is partially like that because of the talking and waiting between fights, but its still that long without any major hiccups.

Our first clear in vBRP (all 4 new to the arena) was a little over 5 hours. Its a fraction of that now, but initially at least, a PUG with little or no experience would find it more challenging than any dungeons. I can't think of a non-HM vDLC that would be harder and people want those separated from the random queue already.

If the nerf wasnt inevitable from doing it, I wouldnt care at all, I just wouldnt use it if I didnt want to, but I dont think it would play out like that.

I definitely support this idea. It would be a great QoL addition.
