Character creation problem..

I made a new Khajiit today, Id planned on making one to match/be similar to the senche raht mounts coloring. after about an hour of tweaking I was good to go and entered tamriel.
once i was out of the very dim dungeon lighting of greymoors chara creation screen, and into the light of day, i saw the fur coloring was very off. what was once a darker auburn in by torchlight was now bright orange.
now im finding my options are to either go through that painful process again and hope the new color chosen matches its ingame one, or fork over $15 ( FIF *** TEEN ) for a appearance token. JUST to change fur/skin color. how is that on me?
This seriously needs to be fixed. the only time u can truly edit your characters, for free, and the lighting is so abysmal it can set off your entire look. and my only recourse is to give zenimax more money? nah, man.
even besides that point, why should players have to pay nearly the amount of the base game if theyd like to change their characters eye/hair/skin color? its honestly ridiculous. I know zeni loves their monetization schemes, but this is crazed.
