Hello all,

I'm not testing the new content atm and I would like to have your feedback on Vigor in a PvP environment. I think tuning down health rec is a fair idea...as a current vigor user I must admit that it feels too strong in the live server.
How does it feel on the Server Test? are you thinking of any possible replacements?
cheers

Health recovery in new iteration is a waste of a stat, it's ok to have it only by the way, but trying to build for it absolutely gimps your toon. Any healing proc set will be better. You can try for example hist sap set which will be almost 100% up in PvP and is equivalent of 2k in PvP hp regen on PTS and 4k real HP recovery which you would had to built. Yup, 1 proc set gives as much as 4k hp recovery, that's how bad this change is.

"Difficulty scaling is desperately needed. 9 years. 6 paid expansions. 24 DLCs. 40 game changing updates including A Realm Reborn-tier overhaul of the game including a permanent CP160 gear cap and ridiculous power creep thereafter. I'm sick and tired of hearing about Cadwell Silver&Gold as a "you think you do but you don't"-tier deflection to any criticism regarding the lack of overland difficulty in the game." - @AlexanderDeLarge

    Doubt.

Then ask for it to be nerfed. Chances are they won't nerf it because it's not mag builds that are ultra-bursty stacking healing, defense, damage, and sustain, that are the problem on live.

Everyone knows which builds they are targeting with the change.

Further, to get that heal, you still have to make build decisions that will limit what you can and cannot do.

Lastly, the set actually has an ICD and isn't used in combat because it cannot proc unto itself anymore. That was changed patches ago, which is why it wasn't popular on live vs. Winter's Respite. If that's not the case, then simply file a bug report.

Now is it possible for a tank to get stack enough mag and use that set effectively? Probably. But they are not going to be doing much else or will take a damage, sustain, or defensive penalty to do so. Because of it's bonuses they will be limited to what they can and cannot build.

If they slot gaze of sithis to obtain that power, they will lose block, and mag bonuses on the set won't enable them to simply stack shields, move fast, etc. to negate gaze of sithis' block prohibition.

I have a feeling that we may see a resurgence in sets like Crest of Cyro

@ResidentContrarian you overcomplicate things. Hist sap is not on the "adjusted" set list. It heals you for 1k per second (in PvP) after being soft or hard cc'ed, which is equivalent of 2k hp recovery which requires you to have 4k hp recovery now. Simple math. Now how many sets you need to use to get to 4k hp recovery? :)

Using this set on my stamdk for so many years, it's og playstyle with reverb bash and deep slash on snb and 2h without dizzy.
It will scale with max health, but i doubt will become popular, just hope the scaling won't be tuned down too much or yeah, no more fun for me.

I'd wager we'll see lots of tanky permablock zerg players running Cyro Crest + Battalion Defender, probably with necro ult or with vamp ult on a warden. Tanks in PvP are fine as long as they're not doing much damage or much healing other players, but I'd also wager those max hp ults are gonna break something.

I was actually thinking something like that but it would feel more like a troll build...which I hate!!

Eternal Vigor is a dead set ATM

Sets like, Crest of Cyro, Hist etc... - should really get the scaling treatment, same as any other healing proc set.

To be fair, this is what PvP tanks should be, not god builds that also deal damage and/or heal allies. Heavy armor malaproc damage builds will still be a thing, but maybe better balanced this time around?

I'm totally with you: God like tanks that cannot be killed and dish out a ton of damage (anyone said wardens or Necros by any chance?!??!!?!? :p ) are simply a disgrace to PvP!
