If anyone follows the tutorial, they know for a fact that heavy attacking is the only mechanic that matters in this game.

    :'(

Really the game teaches close to nothing. If you don't go out of your way personally to research and learn, the game won't show you how to do over 5k dps no matter how many years you play.

I see everywhere full of random people...

These "random people" are the player base. Of course you will see them everywhere.

But this thread isn't really about the subject line. It's about other players not living up to someone else's standards.

My experience is different - I have over 1800 CP, usually quest but will sometimes go on a random normal dungeon as a tank. Sometimes I run into a group clearly made of newbies where I'm doing 30-40% as a tank (which I don't mind unless it's City of Ash 2), but sometimes I see players with less than 200 CP and they do more damage than I will ever be capable of.

I recently got into a group with 3 150-ish CP players in Unhallowed Grave and they were absolutely amazing, even though it was their first time there.

This game caters to a lot of people with wildly varying levels of knowledge, skill, internet speed, and even medical conditions which may prevent super dps.

I mean... unless you are organising a group where you can demand a certain damage threshold, you will get whoever the game throws into the same instance as you.

I got some alts that somehow hit 50 doing writs. You then for whatever reason decide to try out the class and queue for some random normals. I did at least put some off-trait false gods and made some MS for them. But yeah they have never seen a sky shard, only 1 bar of skills, no guild skills like mages, undaunted or psyjic. So yeah seeing my CP1100+ alts that sometimes pop up over the last year, well the DPS can be unbaked even with good CP. Think they at least hit 15K. Would not dare queue vet with them.

If you want achievements, or gear farming, organise something with friends or guidies as you get all the drops.

Random is cleary that, roll the dice, it could get very different.

Can't find edit button, was going to add seeing high CP does not mean anything as it could be an alt. Seen some people run their lvl 50 alts with no gear, or crap gear, i.e. no sets.

It matters not, pugs are wonderful, chaotic events. As far as I know, every player is a random bunch of assembled pixels, I don't know if I'm better than them as they could be cat juggling at the same time as doing their pledges and using their big toe on the keyboard.

From your description, I guess by "random people", you mean people performing weaker than their CP supposed to be capable...

I'm not sure about PvE but I can share something about PvP. My experience in PvP is that under CP2.0, people with significantly higher CP than others generally have higher chances to survive unless they new in PvP and have no idea about the difference between PvP and PvE....

I met experienced PvEers saying that they use flase god in PvP. Some high CP player drop PvE ground AOEs in PvP and stand still to do PvE rotations... These just won't work well against dedicated PvPers. We won't stand in those ground AOEs and wait for long rotations to hit us...

Some new PvPers have done 90k+ DPS on trial target dummies, finished vet trials. They may be on the top tier of PvE but they have to re-build their toons and get new gears in PvP. The combat style in PvP is different than PvE too.

A friend of mine reached 95k DPS on target dummies and finished quite a few vet trials, but when he tried PvP, he gave in quickly because he's so specialized in group PvE with a fixed role.

After some time of learning, they may improve like many dedicated PvPers, but the most important thing is to know the difference between PvP and PvE.

That’s nothing. I don’t know if you’ve heard but there was an attempt on the king’s life and someone saved him. That someone was ME. You’re welcome.

    He gets saved a lot!

As much as I love my guildies...I often do pug dungeon runs cause cool combo of people with great fun attitudes usually .

Having said that, I have only had two bad experiences with Pug. One because two people bugged out at the beginning on a normal dungeon because we other two were not 'at their level'. They were CP1100, we were only 600. The second because I got kicked from a normal dungeon at CP500 because I wasnt an 810, and they only wanted randomly selected people who were their own level. In a normal dungeon. Random Normal Dungeon. Oddly, I have never been kicked from a Vet Dungeon, even when I was CP300 and died alot.

To me, dungeons are a great place to have fun smashing and bashing with intent to do maximum damage with maximum xp, and occasionally get cool gear and stuff that helps me smash and bash better. (DPS btw)
