If it works as described now, that's a positive change as far as gameplay (cool screenshots not withstanding).

It will really give better control on where exactly your jump point appears. Especially if you're clumsy with the ability and don't notice times when your archer was spawned standing in red and you press the skill too early.

i have thought on it for a while.
i guess doesnt matter, your right we could kinda control it before, altho this does give you much better control than we had without it.
i used to cast it sometimes if i was stuck somewhere and it let me escape. with this new way i can no longer do that, so thats a negative i dont like.
but it does give us better position precise that we did not have previously.
allowing us to cast him exactly where we are at is better control, no one can deny that.
we did have previously the ability to cast him in places not intended and thats also something that cannot be denied.

normal casting pretty much was "random" land spots. sometimes you could predict where he would be.

It's a much better change allowing for easy quick placement without real thought to where it will land.

Also it does say a shade version of yourself which is cooler thematically it literally summoning in the same place as yourself.

They probably did it because people were abusing it to get under the map in PvP. On PTS I noticed they closed some of the entry points to the underside of the map after 5+ years. Apparently someone does fix those things after enough abuse. Maybe someone took a scroll there?

    Disagree.

What if you find a shade version of yourself embarrassing?

Boy that hits real close to home. I'm not sure if you know just how close.

Haha I am also disappointed since I liked partying in the underside with some people in various PvE areas. Would have been a nice area for an "otherworldy" duel tournament!
