Since you can't take your companions into Cyrodiil, I would imagine that this would be impossible to do.EDIT: Has anyone tested the Cyrodiil Fighter's Guild bounty quests? I also did the automax unfortunately.
To be honest, I don't care how long it takes me to fully level a companion. I want to have him as a long-term occupation/entertainment and not rush through everything within 1 week. But I also see companions more for the RP than as an aid in combat.
That doesn't actually sound so bad. I mean, I'd rather they level up skills by adventuring with me naturally, but I can work guild quests into a few of my characters' routines.

(I’d be more likely to make buy a new alt slot if we were getting a new class with this chapter...oh well). Is it only through guild quests that the companions level those skills? Because with my already-leveled characters, I have no desire to do all those quests yet again.

I've got a few characters that I'm doing the Bolgrul quests with. So I'll just carry the companion with me and pick up the daily mage quest also. The fighter's quests aren't worth the effort, I'll just kill undead or deadra instead
@Fennwitty Companions can not be summoned in PVP areas, and FG Bounty quests are killing mobs in Cyrodiil, so companions can not participate.

Can someone please tell me whether the levelling of a companion is account wide or associated with each character (like mount training) please?
I read that we'll need to do introductory quests on any character who would use them, but I have no intention of doing mages guild etc fetch and carry quests on any of my fully skillline levelled characters, but I would consider bringing them along on my alts that haven't completed MG etc yet, but only if it's account wide
Just tested and confirmed that this is definitely not the case. The unlock was at the account level as well.FrancisCrawford wrote: »The unlock quest is definitely character-specific, and the rapport-building optional quests are very likely character-specific as well.
Not to bne difficult, but you could wait a few months when they put them in the crown store. Or you could go to Blackwood to collect her, but RP that you actually recruited her while doing some of the Deshaan quests, afterall you do save a lot of dark Elves in the 'Bad Medicine' quest. It's really stupid that we have to go to Blackwood to unlock the companion quests there. That messes up the whole order, my Dunmer alt is just finishing the EP main questlines, but I want Mirri for him as companion.

I created a level 1 character Isle of Balfiera and immediately summoned in a fully leveled Mirri from my template character, before I even did the look around portion of the tutorial.
I hope you are right, but I did test it last week without a template character, 7.0.1, and week before last, 7.0.0, and both performed the same way. Under 7.0.0 and 7.0.1, I recruited and leveled Mirri the normal way, to level 6, and equipped her. I then created a new character, I was able to summon level 6 and equipped Mirri while still in the tutorial... I think I even mentioned it at the time about the potential for abuse.FrancisCrawford wrote: »My strong impression from PTS patch notes and so on is that that's an artifact of the PTS-only leveling feature, from which you've drawn an incorrect conclusion.
So I've been testing an unleveled Mirri through the guild quests. For the first 2 levels it was a one to one return. 1 quild level for one guild quest turn in. However level 3 appears to require 2 quests to go from level 2 to level 3. Which if it continues to hold at 2 for 1 level it will require twice what you estimated for all 3. This assumes that it doesn't keep taking more quests to level a they increase.
It's going to be a grind to level them on live.

Which guild?
My test was Mages Guild, and it looked like half a level for the one quest I did.
I'm pretty sure it's 100 points per level at all levels, and that quest gave 50 points.
It worked that way on all the guilds. 1st quest unlocked 1st level, 2nd quest level 2, 3rd quest put between level 2 and level 3. I'm on template tons so don't want to start another couple to see if it stays 2 quests per level. I'll know by level 4. Assuming only 2 per level to get to level 20 in ea guild that's 38 per guild or over a hundred dailies between all 3, if I'm not mistaken? Again this is assuming it stays at only 2 per level and doesn't take more quests the higher you go.
No I did 1 quest and unlocked level one Tuesday night. 1 quest got level 2 Wednesday night, 1 quest and got halfway through level 2 tonight. However aren't the guilds 20 levels?
I'm asking this because I am trying to research this and get it figured out before live.
