Maintenance for the week of June 23:
• PC/Mac: No maintenance – June 23

We are currently investigating issues some players are having logging into the PTS. We will update as new information becomes available.

Uh why not just drastically increase the amount of CP XP gain?

Like the title says, instead of going through the task of changing the entire system (which I imagine is WAY more work), just change one variable? Seems like the intuitive thing to do. Keep the new additions in the crafting tree.

Do one week each of testing the xp gain at

3x
4x
5x
10x

These are just random examples. But see how it feels to progress, look at it as if you were a new player. Does it feel smooth? Does it feel rewarding? Does it feel too easy?

When you gut a system that was implemented fairly well (I enjoyed the new changes prior to PTS). Do you really expect people to enjoy it?

You are shooting yourself in the foot with these changes, the way WoW changed their leveling and dumbed down all of their systems is precisely what made me leave. I imagine I am not alone in that sentiment, and yes, that logic does apply to your game as well.

    Agree.

PTS is a mess right now. 50 % over nerf.

I mean.. They have already take away the amount of experience you need to Level Up your CP drastically.. What's the point of putting it back now especially that you have available a 3600 CP cap?

Because they are lowering the cap? Lowering the total stages of benefits? This is due to players voicing difficulty reaching competitive CP levels. I mean if that is the complaint, then increase the rate at which they are gained, not butcher progression for everyone, including those who complained once they reach that threshold.

Once the benefits are negligible who cares about furthering their CP level? Once you have the gear, and for some players the achievements there would be no further progression.

Simple answer: It doesn't retroactively change the balance of the game.

If the devs were to implement a "fix" like this, day 1 would literally see no difference whatsoever. It would take time for the supposed good effects of this change to affect the balance of the game.

A "fix" like this also heavily benefits those that farm for CP, and doesn't benefit casual players (regardless of how many CP they have) nearly as much. And that's also not good.

Its supposed to be an infinite progression for those who need to have infinite progression. Or at least until next quarter which is the same as infinite for corporate moneymaking products.

Except this would make it so new players would progress faster, farming would be much less of an issue and they would gain it as they play the game casually. If they lower the total amount and drastically lower
the power of each respective point invested it is literally nerfing everyone. So yes, this simple "fix" absolutely has merit.

Yes new players will have some time before they catch up with CP but if their path to get there is much faster, who cares if the people who grind CP get there first? The newer players will catch up relatively quickly.

Do you remember the grind for 810 CP I surely do, after doing it twice on Xbox, then PS4, now on PC. That is part of the game, progressing. If they gut the power associated with said progression then what is the point?

I’d suggest increasing the daily enlightenment xp bonus from 400k to 600-800k (x 1.5 - 2) but keep the total enlightenment cap of 5 million.
That way you’d buff active player’s cp gains every day and over time could help alleviate the cp grind everyone’s complaining about. Without making it too overpowered by keeping the max enlightenment cap.
