I started with Summerset, so I am biased and like it.

I even do both Psijic questlines on many alts, at least as much as the base game main quest line.

I have no idea what impact that would have however, just noting it.

You guys need to remember that the large majority of the playerbase are casual solo questers, they don't care about jewelry crafting, meta gear or new skill lines.

Did Dragons bring a lot of attention? Yes, because Skyrim was a pop-culture phenomenon, on par with WoW. ESO wasn't, remember it had a fairly poor launch - which affects it to this day - and still receives hate for not being "Skyrim Online". Many people just don't like that it is an MMO set in TES, they don't like the engine or the animation, and that is never going away.

However, it is also worth pointing out that ESO does not exactly have the best marketing. Compared to a game like WoW or even the main line single player TES games. WoW and TES gets WAY more media attention.

The extreme increase in the number of viewers of the videos does not provide any information that Summerset is said to have sold worse. The extreme increase is likely to be related to the expanded promotion and the overall strong increase in the popularity of the game and the associated increase in the number of players.
