Random Dungeon Queue with Companions

I tried it yesterday on the PTS, using two accounts, without success.
As it might be a bug, here is what I want to do and want to know:

I' d like to queue qith two players and their companions for a random normal dungeon.
Without any other player added. Yes, I want to duo random daily dungeons.

1. Is this possible right now?
2. What is intended here, should this be possible?

I believe it was one of the questions to the devs sometime and rnd is player only as it suppresses followers when you're getting grouped in favour of actual players. You can go 2/2 manually though.

The problem is, I can't do a random normal for 10 crystals manually.

Crystals and exp is a way for the devs to have more-less adequate clear rates for the content they've designed as far as I understand, kind of like you getting some profit for dragging some new random players through the content and also rewarding them for trying such activities and boosting zeni's clear rates. Pretty sure they have no intention for a change here.

Glad I found this. Was about to purchase Blackwood for second account which my partner plays very casually. Now I am not as hyped to do so.

Would have been cool to do random nm with partner and companions as a 4xgroup

You wouldn't be saying that if you'd actually tried to take a companion into a normal dungeon. They're carpets, pure and simple.

Yeh I have been reading up more about the companion performance. And doesn't seem warranted to have as support. But it was more to queue as a 4 man to fill the random queue. Most dungeons we can do duo anyway

Just confirmed this myself. Companions don't queue into random normals.
Also, they don't even show up in the group, when you press P.
