I really like the new homes, especially the balcony.
Anyone got some issues to point out?

The Chapel isn't really my type of house but I still think it looks great and I will definitely be buying the Water's Edge house for my Imperial characters.

The chapel is too big to be properly furnished with the current slot cap.

I've only looked at the Waterside house. I have no interest at all in a chapel house, that's one of the things which put me off using the Psijic Villa, and the inn room is going to be the same as all the others.

But the Waterside one is nice. I can think of a few different ways to use that layout, and I like that (unlike a lot of our houses) it's actually divided into rooms, which gives more options for distinct styles in each one. I'm not sure about the location, I don't think any of my characters would choose to live in Leyawiin, but there's ways around that (especially since they'll be going there anyway.)

I really like the balconies, it's an interesting way to add some outside space to an urban house without having to wall it off.

not interested in tiny homes. big houses are useless with those crazy low item limits
ShutYerTrap (selectively mute NPC dialogues (stuga, companions); displayleads (antiquity leads location); UndauntedPledgeQueuer (small daily undaunted dungeon queuer window)

Chapel is way too big. With 700 slots you won't even furniture half of it.
I like them small home in the city and I will get that one for sure but the chapel no way.

The Chapel is awesome, but the player group count drop makes it not. The first thing that came to mind was this would be an amazing place to RP a raid if you could have 12 players be the Attackers and 12 players be the Defenders. Of course they reduce the total groups from 24 to 12 making this house less epic which is a shame because it looks like you could play Assault and Defend with it.

    The Chapel:
    - First loading screen to get to very odd entrance leading to... a chapel
    - Second loading screen to get from a chapel to courtyard...
    - THIRD loading screen to get into the fort!

Can we get an entrance in the COURTYARD?

I've always been fine with the number of housing slots with ESO+. But even for me 700 slots seems a miserable number to furnish the Chapel...

    Water's Edge:
    - First loading screen to get into the house
    - Second loading screen to get to the Walkway
    - THIRD loading screen to get into the other billding

Ok, so as someome keen on housing and RP I'm going to play Loading Screens Online? No, thank you, ZOS....

The group size limit affects houses too?

There goes using houses as guild halls I guess.

Entering Waters Edge I immediately wanted it, even with the loading screen doors. It's a very nice actual house, one that feels like a home.

The chapel is just way too big and has too many doors and floors. 700 slots will never make this "house" feel finished. If you choose to not use the Chapel part and want to use the Fort as a house then you have to run through the whole thing with several loading screen doors. As others said, the entrance should be to the courtyard.

I did submit a bug/feedback in game, but both homes are listed under Classic in the Crown Store right now, which obviously is not correct for at least Pantherfang.

There's a direct door to the fort down in the Crypt, take a right in the middle waterway. So it's only one loading screen to get into the fort.

Isn't 2x12 groups better than 1x24 group for that? Since then you can more easily tell who is an attacker as a defender since they won't be a member of your group. And also the map/compass pins won't spoil their movement.
It's not like you have to be in the same group to teleport to the house, you can port to the owner in the guild list.

I like the balcony in water's edge and the chapel looks awesome too.

But on the other hand I love it more, if i start in a colorful garden and see my house from the entrance.
That's why the psijic villa and jodes embrace will be my favourites.

I missed that door, that helps.

Water’s Edge seems perfectly cozy and cute nicely sized imperial townhouse to serve similar purposes as the Alinor Crest Townhouse which I also love. White walled interior with wood provides nice light but at the same time warm and cozy overall impression of the space. I also like to two “separate” buildings with shared balcony; I can see myself decorating either two buildings for two different characters or making it a one house with the idea of the character first owning the one building and then purchasing the second one when it suddenly came available and making it one larger house. Or housing two generations nearly under the same roof. I see this house more as a home rather than for example crafting space, but I think it could also accommodate different types of shops in different floors; maybe having a restaurant in the middle floor, inn rooms upstairs, some clothier and black smithing shops in the other building etc.

The chapel seems huge and looks cool. I get strong middle-age vibes from it and definitely can see the throne room, chapel etc, but on the other hand the impression feels so strong that I find it hard to come up with other ideas of furnishing it rather than, you know, medieval fortress.

The homes I think are the best homes ZOS has ever made. Everything I feel like is the perfect size and something I have been wanting a long time. Especially the chapel home. THAT KEEP!

The Leyawiin home kinda reminds me of the Bridge of Sighs which I am fine with and love it :D

I like the two main houses in the zone. The chapel I love in particular.

But the Inn Room is comically small.

I love Watersedge because I could easily partition it so my companion lives on one side, and I live on the other (platonic friendship, LOL, they're both too unattractive to marry). I'm in love with the Chapel and the fort, but those could easily be divided into two separate houses and that would make them better. I would totally plop down money for just a Chapel. I think they underestimated the appeal of both parts as separate homes people would want so they mushed them together into one humongous thing that no one could ever decorate with the current housing limit.
