I've gotten emails about daily login rewards at least three times now. I log in and claim them every single day... well, aside from sometimes on maintenance days since I'm PS4. LOL
PS5 NA. GM of The PTK's - a free trading guild (CP 500+). Also a werewolf, bites are free when they're available. PSN = DragonRacer13

But as far as I can see the only way to stop them is to opt out of all marketing emails related to the game, which I'd rather not do. If that's the only option I might opt-out and rely on getting my news elsewhere but if there's a way to stop just these ones that would be preferable.

I mark them as spam. Fairly soon any reasonable email system will start filing them in the spam folder automatically. You can also add a rule based on the subject line to file as spam in most mail systems.

I am glad they are there. Without the emails, I would never login. After 8 years I would just simply forget about the game and login rewards without these emails.

Also the April crown showcase is now available.... halfway through April.

Yes. It makes me want to stop subscribing to the e-mails completely.

I've gotten them every couple days also. Obviously they are not a huge issue to just delete them, but they shouldn't be sending it that often in the first place.

It’s not even technically a daily “login” reward.... it’s more of a daily login, open the menu, scroll to the item, accept the item, open inventory, delete the item or manage the item into a bank daily reward. Simply logging in doesn’t get you anything, and sometimes you still miss out on big items even though you “logged in” every day day that month.

Maybe it's different on consoles but I just click the accept button in the middle bottom of the gigantic announcement that comes up when I first log in and it puts the item into that character's inventory (or the currency tab, or collections or whatever). Then I sort it out when I'm at the bank sorting everything else.

The daily login reward “reminder” even though I haven’t missed any is super annoying. C’mon ZOS, this is a rookie mistake.

Are you asking them to keep and automatically check a giant database of all player accounts and whether or not any given account has logged in and claimed a given day's login reward, or purchased a given DLC or chapter, etc., before deciding whether or not to send out an email announcement about that given topic to that given account? Just log into your website account and opt out if you don't want to get these kinds of emails.

They shouldn't need a database for that, the game itself can track it. That's how it knows how many days of the login rewards you're eligable for and how ZOS have run promotions in the past where you get a reward if you log in during a given period.

If the email was sent once a month (maybe to coincide with each new set of login rewards) they could just check which accounts have logged in and send it only to those who haven't been online in the past month.

Sending it less frequently is a good idea, because it's feasible.

Expecting them to check an in-game database of account activity in addition to a database of email account preferences, for each individual account, before deciding whether or not to send a given email to a given account, is probably not feasible.

It seems very likely that the server that is used for writing up these email announcements and then sending them out is totally separate from the servers on which the game is housed and run. Consider that you can't just go to your Preferences within the game itself to do things like link your game account to your Twitch account, or set your email preferences, etc. The game servers are busy enough trying to run the game, and we certainly don't need them doing a bunch of extra work related to things like email preferences or checking each account's activities before deciding whether or not to send out an email.

As I have a lot of time lately I log in every day, sometimes before noon and I still get these mails every few days. A good way to ask for unsubbing your mail stuff, zenimax.
