Yep, would appreciate some love, but seeing as they managed to get this done waaay before the time they posted, and so only one day missed, doubt will.

Would just like to say thanks to staff at Zos & Sony for sorting it out. Most appreciated.

Try to learn some lessons & not do this again though, huh? 😉

PS is having many issues with other games too like COD atm. Think something is wrong with Sony - not ZOS

It's pretty much unprecedented and I'd assume they'll end up giving us something so what would you like? I can't see them giving us extra ESO Plus time or free crowns... can't recall them ever doing that. So let's try and be constructive and give them some ideas.

I'll start with what I DON'T want- another bloody pet. Lord knows how many I already have but I don't need or want any more.

As much as I hate loot boxes a few crown crates would be fine. But real ones not the silly preview crates.

A name and race change token would be fine too. They come in handy from time to time.

An outfit would be fine but obviously it would have to be something new.

my char refreshed for 100m exp xD (what seems to be legit since we wheren't online for 624month xD)

I want nothing for it. Sub is $15 a month which is roughly 50cents a day. So at most its $1 lost. [snip]

    Compensation? [snip]

Yes it was annoying that maintenance was on a Bank Holiday. Yes it was annoying that maintenance got extended well beyond the expected time.

What did I lose? 3 event tickets, 3000 AP (the last of the months daily rewards) and 17 characters rewards boxes from not being able to craft.

And thats it. Did my life end? No. Did anybodies? No.

The system had an issue, it happens. It's not some.big conspiracy to get us all to swap to xboxes. Other platforms have had issues in the past. Give it a month and you will all have forgotten about it, all those that state they are cancelling their eso+ will still be paying for it, all those leaving the game will still be playing.

Is it really such a big deal that we lost one day of gaming?

What do I want? A working game, that's all.

They extended the event, maybe they could tune the drop rate for good things up really high for PS users as well to make up for lost time.
I don't feel entitled to anything. Only suggesting I'd rather have something other than a nix-hound variant. More alchemy mats is part of what they plan on giving us anyway.

I am sick and tired of checking the box “I am not a robot “ on internet sites. It should be changed to “I am a robot” so that only robots need to bother with it. Saving humans valuable time. It’s why we invented the dammed things in the first place.

I just want the game to get the love it deserves, that's all. There are a few PS4 bugs I've reported - some over 12 months old now - that still haven't been addressed. I'm talking simple things like missing audio when a Queue pops, for example.

Some of the latest PvP changes feel a little like re-arranging the deck chairs on the Titanic. The 12 person cap on groups, for example, seems to have had a detrimental effect on PUGs and population so if ZOS really wants to make things better, bringing in a team to systematically squash all the bugs and restore PvP to its former glory would be fantastic IMHO.

As for the outage, I'm impressed that they worked into the small hours of the AM to get it back up. That's putting in effort.

After the all-nighter they pulled because of ps4/5 players applying pressure on them i feel like no compensation is needed, they already giving everyone a extended Jubilee event. Things like this can happen... but you would not expect such a total duck-up from a game that has been dealing with playstation coding and implementation issues for 7 years already. lets just hope they learned that things like this should not be happening to often unless they want to end up like Cyberpunk.

A big thumbs up for the effort that has been put in to save their reputation, we appreciate it.

They pulled the all nighters because when you have system problems like they had thats what you do. You don't go home and leave it, you stay at work and work out the problem. The team leaders will keep a watching brief while keeping the managers off your back. Those managers will be reporting to those above and applying pressure to the team leaders.

At the end of the day when a system is down that you are employed to keep working you fix it no matter how long it takes, and as in this case no matter who you have to call in to help.

The ones doing the fixing won't ever look at the forums and won't be aware of any kind of pressure from ps4/5 players. Nor will anyone on the server side. And even if they are they won't care, they will just want to get the server up because no one likes a server and system down when it shouldn't be.

That's the reason why I don't like playing games with constant, mandatory updates on console, (or even Steam). You have two parties involved, doubling the amount of things that can go wrong. And when things do go wrong, there can be no emergency patches as they first have to be approved by Sony/MS.

As for compensation, 2 days downtime are a lot, but making outlandish compensation demands for a service outage effectively worth 1 buck gets you nowhere. Easy for me to say as a PC player who can play, but I'd say, Zos giving the PS4 players a mail with 3.5k gold and 3k AP (Login reward of the last 2 days) and maybe 2 Oroboros crates would be a nice gesture of goodwill.

Ive used steam for nearly two decades now and have over 100 games on it including a few MMOs. I have only ever had problems with ESO on that platform and while many in the community had a meltdown about not being able to play for a few hours, it was only a few hours a few times. The dev team found the issue and resolved it because i have not had the issue in a couple of years.

Players blow stuff like this out of proportion. I know its frustrating because they want to play, but *** happens. Its not like the dev team is maliciously breaking things or that they are binge watching netflix while the game is broke and we can't play.

They come in to work hours before most people even get out of bed to do patches and maint. so it affects the least amount of players. When some thing is broke they stay late working on it... like Gina was posting updates at 2 AM her time. It could have waited until tomorrow(today). No one is going to die because they didn't get an update on the game for 8 hours, but she did it out of courtesy for the players who are generally unappreciative that devs actually go out of their way to make sure your gaming uptime is as reliable as your electricity uptime.

Sometimes where there is a problem, they have to go through the code line by line. One little mistake in a line of code... one typing error can throw the whole thing into chaos. And there is no spellchecker for code.

I'm tired of missing daily rewards every month because patches take so long for me to download. I'm down 2 already. Also I bought a month of plus for the event and I am going to be short a day.

Ah, just add a day onto the event (which they're doing) and give a way for people to get the daily log in reward they'll miss. Nothing else really needed.

Yet here you are bashing, baiting, & telling other customers how petty they're with their money and time?

The amount of money spent by the consumer is irrelevant.

Please people if you plan to use words like entitlement atleast understand the definition and context of such words origins.

You realize the irony that your post is bashing and baiting, right? But @Eirikir was stating that THEY PERSONALLY are
not so petty, addicted to this game, or so lacking in things to do, or self-entitled that I will make demands over the data equivalent of a natural disaster.
They aren't bashing anyone. They aren't baiting anyone. And many people would agree that it is petty.

    Sure bud, nice try though.

My hope is that ZOS have learnt three important lessons:

    1) Be more considerate of regional holidays when booking maintenance - Easter weekend is a major holiday in the Christian calender and is mainly celebrated in Europe. ZOS should have been aware of this and pushed the maintenance back.

ZOS has actually done maintenance on Easter Monday the past three years in a row at least. They're well aware of the holiday (thanks to the numerous threads the past few years, if nothing else) and still choose to do it anyhow. I'm not sure that's going to change due to a bad patch.
