I like the Ebonheart and Daggerfall shields and styles. Best shield styles for me in the game, thus far.

I think the tiny shields are great (for a good laugh). Other than that, I would definitely like to see larger shields too. Think big spartan shields that protect from thigh to neck.

What am I supposed to protect ? My fingers ?

STOP THAT. You're doing this since 2014. Give us standard to large sized shields.

You won't get a single crown in your store from me while it lasts.

You are wearing plate armor. Size of the shield does not matter anymore.

Apperance and personal taste. You technically can wear a towel as a costume as well. Doesn't really pull off the look though does it?

Nobody tell him about a buckler shield or how for a third the weight it offers the same defense to a proactive duelist.

bucklers were only effective for fencing and gentleman duels in fruity garb lol not good for defending against giant creatures we fight in game

That is why you have magic shields that surround you with a protective aura.

In game, size of the shield does not matter. You defeat giants with daggers, which are mostly oversized to size of short sword. :P

It would be good to have a couple of types of shield in the game, the small one could give greater dodge change and a larger one the would give X more resistance but lower your dodge chance.

I agree OP! Both small and big shields are nice, but right now there is an overwhelming number of small shields and barely any big ones. This is a change I'd like to see too :)

I like small shields, too. With a big shield, when you run around when not fighting, it looks like you're carrying a giant piece of plywood

are we going to parry big Olms boss in vAS with shield small as buckler? I woudl be happy to be able to do that becasue blocking his attacks with so small shield are like you had no shield

in game anyway not so much of anything matter like heavy, tankly armor/set and we are able to use nordic bather towel being almost naked and still being tankly

so why we cant have some more decent bigger shield for our look while there are tons of small shields which would be more usefull for parrying attacks than blocking

    Hehe. Enjoying the comments here.

I think in general, the aesthetic of heavy armour and shields in the game is in dire need of a re-work. There are some really great styles for sure, but not as many as what I see on medium and light. The shields often being so tiny is the first thing I often notice since many tanks wear these massive armour sets while sporting a shield that barely covers the forearm.

On my own tanks I have cosmetically equipped them with the Dro-m'Athra shield, since the colors work well with my dye choices yes, but also because I find the shield size much more realistic for their body size, height, and armour bulk. Maybe we could compile a list of how many we actually have that are in this size range?

I have the opposite problem, I don't like huge shields and wish there were more bucklers in game for my Tanks as the shield on their backs blocks my view of most of the character. There should be more variety in sizes for everyone's preference.

Hmm, coupled with the Cadwell dagger style (fork), that seems perfectly fitting for a wood elf, especially if you’re fighting men or mer. 🤔
