Yeah, devs and directors play the game. Lambert plays a lot and he is better at the veteran content than most people. He tweeted just a couple days ago that the all-developer group completed hard mode Black Drake Villa and Cauldron.

I craft, quest, explore, gather etc on my stealthy Stamblade main. In all those years hardly a day has gone by without logging in. However, the update has left me feeling so broken hearted about the changes to the way I like to play, putting a championship slot mini-game in the way of pretty much everything I used to enjoy doing, that I could previously do seamlessly on a whim, without thinking ‘oh do I have this slotted?’ - this is just one change too far. I don’t enjoy playing like this. I don’t want to play like this. I refuse to play like this. I have cancelled my ESO+ and will not be returning to the game unless changes are made to that green tree.
I have earned my stripes, guys! I deserve to have all of my hard earned crafting abilities and stealth and exploration and gathering abilities up 100% all of the time. I don’t want to keep opening this menu just so I can play at the same level that I used to play at before this change. They haven’t added value to the game for me with this update, instead I feel like they’ve taken hard earned skills away, and stuck them behind this god-awful new system, that doesn’t let me wander about and play like I used to. They should all be passives.
I feel like I’m grieving because this is no longer the game I knew and loved. We’ve all had to cope with so much in the past year. I can’t cope with this and I don’t even want to. This isn’t fun anymore. It might sound sad but I’m in bits about it. I’ve lost sleep and suffered a migraine over this. But I am resolute. I’m not prepared to play like this. I’ve been through a lot over the years and seen many changes to the game, most have been for the better. None impacted on my daily life on ESO like to the extent that this has. Honestly, I can’t even work out who this change does benefit. Certainly not the day-one veteran who crafts, gathers, quests and explores on main.
I always thought that I’d be on this server the day they switched it off, like you’d have to drag me away from ESO. I never would have guessed that years down the line they would make a change like this that would put me off playing at all, but here we are.
No one really cares that you are leaving. Players leave games every day without an announcement on the forums. Actually the people who announce it on the forums usually do it as an ultimatum. "Game sucks now, i am leaving" but then they lurk because they don't want to leave, they want things to be different. Those that really want to leave just leave without any fanfare, usually. There are exceptions.
If you really want your voice heard and are really quitting then leave legit feedback to support and leave a honest review of the game. That will do more to get your point across than a goodbye thread that will just get locked.

But, alas, ZOS has decided that they like the star-swapping mingame.
Nor do they allow quitting threads. So before they lock this, best of luck to you!

Off you go now to play your championship slot mini-game. Have fun!

It’s not like I don’t have anything else to play. I have 6 years of catch-up on my gaming pile of shame, currently playing Fable anniversary, I have four AC games, The Witcher and a Tomb Raider game - stuff that just sat there while I was addicted to ESO.
The only thing these people understand is money, and I vote with my wallet. Thank god I didn’t pre-order Blackwood.
