I think PvE'ers would be more supportive of the needs of PvP'ers if such concerns were clearly identified as PvP only and proposed changes were framed in terms of adjustments to Battle Spirit.

I no longer play my PvE tank because a long series of nerfs to damage and mitigation have sucked all the fun out of it.
PC NA(no Steam), PvE, mostly solo

I have a better idea. Remove pvp from the game and problem solved.

3s cooldown and what are you going to do in the meanwhile? Rally - grab a beer - blastbones - go for a wee - dizzy swing - get some chips - executioner - feed the dog...really sounds like fun!

I'm ok with absolutely whatever people suggest.
I'm fine with adding a 10sec gcd on heavy armor users, im fine with removing proc sets entirely from pvp, im fine with enabling proc sets and making them do 50k dmg per tick in pvp. Or just nuke everything from orbit.
I'm fine with ANYTHING as long as pve is untouched.

ZOS could add a new Armor category to separate balance in PvP from PvE.

    1.Bonuses
    2.Penalties
    3.PvP
    4.Passives
    5.Skills

At a slightly lighter level this is why I still think minecraft pvp (eg bedwars) is vastly superior to ESO PVP. The fact big battles don't lag is also a plus 8)

Hopefully the proc set thing will get resolved into something sensible like a Cyrodiil no-CP no-proc (ie skill based PVP) and CP/proc (grind based PVP) model.

I would disagree that the problem is about heavy armour though. It should take several people to take out someone in heavy armour (or a lot of magicka based damage), and it should be near impossible for someone in heavy armour to run around and kill folks who are not standing next to them. The increased magicka based attack vulnerability should be ensuring that.

They have already screwed over tanks enough, if they want to do anymore do it with battle spirit.

If you turn tanking into some turn based mini game, that will be the straw that breaks the camels back.

Just out of interest but how do you know what armor weight someone else is wearing in PVP? I would hate all these nerf complaints to turn out to be about someone who has an outfit that is heavy armour in style but is actually wearing light or medium and people thinking there being killed by someone in heavy armour.

Even if its a proc set they could be using it in jewelry and weapons instead of the armour.

I wonder about this sometimes. One of my sorc's outfits is a heavy set, helm and all. A friend of a friend took it for granted that I was wearing heavy armor and asked me questions about the choice. Nyah?
